It is a house owned by a doctor who lives about 300 kilometers away. Dr Shah's rooms are locked up but the rest of the rooms are let out to holidaying families. The tariff is reasonable and the manager is very nice to talk to. Mr Ashok Khandelwal is an old hand at hoteliering and can manage each customer's unique needs very well. Thankfully, new constructions are not allowed. Therefore, the destination (Lansdowne) is unspoilt. However, the hotel needs some...

The overall experience was very good ... the stay at Fairydale was a very pleasant & homely experience. This is a great place to just relax & take in the views as there are no activities as such. You could go visiting the Army Museum & temples around if interested ... we chose to just laze around & enjoy the sunshine....

Fairydale Resort Lansdowne NOV 2007 I had a lousy experience here and it was only for 1 night. I spent most of the night wondering if the filth would get to me. Advice :Stay at the GMVN or Mayur hotel in the market?.Faiydale is definitely a nightmare fairytale!!!!...

Fairy pleasant place for a quick hideout, rooms are comfortable, not commercialized at all. Magnificent mountain views, old churches, Tarkeshwar temple, Army museum are great. A must place for visit and stay. I would recommend hill lovers to visit this place, noiseless, traffic less, plenty of oxygen, army area, totally peaceful environment....
