Hotel Review of GMVN Tourist Bungalow Lansdowne
Comments: Lansdowne is one of the best hill stations ever visited. Its serenity is worth enjoying. Its beauty can only be enjoyed once one starts sightseeing.
Best Experience: The location and the surroundings are exellent. I stayed at the cottage, it has got all the amenities like geyser, roomheater etc.
Worst Experience: Food is not upto the mark & needs improvement. But still it is better than having food outside which is worse.

A peaceful and comfortable experience. there are two gmvn bungalows at lansdowne. we tried to book the bigger one, but that was fully occupied---thankfully!!! we were accomodated at the bunglow at 'Tip and Top'. we stayed in a tent. Rs 400 per night. the tents were well maintained and absolutely clean. (there are options of tree house under construction).just when you step out of the tents, amazing mountain views greet you. morning ragas welcome you as you have a walk...

One of the most peaceful and beautiful locales. The small town of Lansdowne can be a vistors best bet for a non-commercialized hill station. Though the town itself can be explored in a days time, but travelling further to Tarkeshwarnath temple at a distance of 35kms from Lansdowne can be an unravelling experience. I reached the resort past midnight as my car had an accident near Kotdwar.But the staff were very co-operative. The rooms are good and the food is of acceptable quality.Nice weekend unwinding resort from Delhi....

Lansdowne , was just as we had expected , cool mountain breezes and overwhelming smell of pine and oak trees .Even the water tastes different . A good place to relax , take long walks and recharge your batteries . Choice of other attractions are limited . however it is not advisable to go during rainy season as the fog cover is intense and driving conditions really difficult ....
