The Le Meridien is a very huge hotel located in Industrial area in Jaipur. I stayed here for 3 days and it was absolutely value for money. They offered a pick up from the airport. I had a conference to attend in the city and they arranged for a cab for me at reasonable rate. My room was so beautiful. It had all the modern equipments and the bathroom had the best bathroom fittings. On my last day of visit, I went to check out the swimming pool. I didn't actually go into it. I just sat on one of the cutely arranged tables nearby and stared at the view while sipping a cup of cappuccino. It was so relaxing. I loved it here and would recommend it to everyone.
I stayed there for a single day when I went to Jaipur for my CA Seminar. I really found it so lavish and beautiful. Food was very great and I just got a royal treatment there. All the executives and other workers were so polite and really very helpful. Room was very beautiful and well-designed. Everything was eye catching. Room services was very quick and easy to understand. Got AC, Telephone, WiFi at no additional cost.
A holiday is complete only when you get a good peaceful and luxurious place to stay. The hotel is on the outskirts of Jaipur & is superb made. The traditional welcome with garland of flowers & diva, a refreshing drink and sweet smile of the staff. The place is amazing with swimming pool both for kids & adult. Food is amazing & rooms very traditional. A perfect blend of holiday & rejuvenation.
I stayed at the hotel recently in order to attend a wedding. I found it to be a nice property with beautiful and elegant construction, pleasant gardens and polite & courteous staff. Rooms were nice and comfortable and had all basic amenities that one would expect from a hotel of its class. However, there was one problem in our room - the air conditioning in my room was not cooling the room, and hotel staff, despite repeated follow-ups and complaints, did not resolve the complaint till midnight! This, in the desert state of Rajasthan were noon temperatures cross 45 deg Celsius on a hot June day on which I checked in. We checked in at the hotel at around 11.30, and had entered our room by 12 noon. By 1pm we realised that the AC was not cooling the room, and we were sweating. We thus called the service and complained about it. When after half an hour no one had turned up and the heat was becoming unbearable, I called the service desk again, asking if they have sent someone at all. They assured me someone will be there within 5 mins. Yet, no body showed till 2pm, at which point I called the desk and asked for hotel manager. Instead of transferring the call to the manager, the service girl assured me someone will look into it and finally a service staff turned up. He checked the air-conditioner and told us that for the AC to work we must switch off the fan and only then room will cool down. We then turned off the fan, left the AC on and went downstairs to have lunch. When we returned to our room at around 3.45pm, it had still not cooled down. We then called the service desk again at around 4, and told them AC is still not working. This time we had to call 4 times before someone showed up at around 6pm to repair the AC. Service staff kept coming in one after another and soon we realised that 5 service staff are working on the AC - well, one seemed to be working on the AC by climbing a ladder, the rest 4 were just standing and talking. They kept at it for over an hour. By 7.15 I had used up all my patience and time as we had to leave for the wedding function, so I asked all these people to leave so that my wife and I could get ready. AC was still not working. We got ready and left for the function at around 7.45, and when I returned to my room at around 9, I found that they had taken the AC motor out and told me they are changing the motor and work will take another 30 mins. Since it was unbearable in the room I left and returned to the room at 10.45 pm. Room was still not cool and this time it was stuffy and uncomfortable. I had to call the service desk 2 times before a service staff showed up and informed us (and I quote him here) "Reception has asked me to inform you that any AC takes minimum 1 hour to cool a room when it is empty. With people in the room it might take longer!" I asked the staff the stay back for half an hour and see if there is any change in temperature at all. I called the service desk and asked to be connected to the hotel manager and my call was transferred to someone named Avneesh or Avdesh, who did not want to share his designation initially. When I kept asking for his designation, he said he is customer service manager for the hotel. I repeated my complaint about the AC not working and he started telling me that they have changed the motor etc. Since apparently he was not ready to believe me that room is not cooling, I asked him to come over to the room and check for himself. He assured me that he will be there within 5 mins. But he never came and I never heard from him again. We then called someone named Sharad who we were told is responsible for rooms etc, and he too assured us that he will come over and check for himself within 5 mins. And he never came. Since it was midnight by this time and we were drenched with sweat, we went down to the reception and started complaining. It was only at this point when other customers, esp some foreigners started showing interest in our complaints that the hotel staff agreed to change our room. We moved in to another room at around 12.30 at night. IT HAD TAKEN THE HOTEL 12 HOURS TO RESOLVE OUR COMPLAINT! I had never expected such poor response from a hotel like Le Meridien, was extremely shocked to see the kind of poor response hotel showed towards addressing my complaint. It was only because the wedding we had gone to attend was in the same hotel that we stayed there, else we would have moved to a new hotel the same day. Additionally, the hotel is far from city, thus making it very difficult to move out of the hotel if you have any problems like I had. I would suggest people to avoid this hotel at all costs, given the attitude hotel staff has shown in resolving our complaint.
I had visited this hotel for official purpose. The behaviour of the staff was helpful in the hotel. The hotel was neat and clean. It was a nice hotel. The food quality was nice in the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was given by the hotel. The service was done on time. I had booked the room by online. The hotel was located in the city. The garden was not available in the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to upcoming travellers.
