Very good hotel. Excellent service and very reasonable rates. Rooms are nice and well kept. Prompt staff. Food variety was good and very good spread. Parking area was very nice. The best thing is airport drop. Ambience of the hotel is very good especially the architecture inside the hotel.
This hotel is right across the Kochi International airport. We had to fly out early so we stayed just for one night in this place. Rooms are small but comfortable. Food was ok. Our drivers did not have a place to sleep. They have a free shuttle to the airport. They don't have any extra facilities. Just to stay to catch a plane is all this hotel can be really used for. I remember seeing a small play area indoor for small kids. Nothing for bigger kids. On the whole our one night stay was comfortable. I might stay here again when I travel again to fly out of Kochi international airport. The restaurant in the hotel has simple food.
Whenever, I visited Kochi for any business or personal needs, I choose to stay at Hotel Lotus 8. The hotel is located just outside the periphery of the Nedumbassery International Airport. The most important thing I like there is that they serve delicious food both of Kerala and North Indian cuisine. The buffet breakfast and lunch are sumptuous. They arrange free pick-up and drop from the Airport. The staff were very courteous and the rooms are Air-Conditioned, well-maintained and clean. Free Wi-Fi and flexible room tariffs based on number of hours of stay are other attractions.
We had to fly to Ernakulam on 30th October at very short notice & was looking for a hotel near the airport where we could just change our clothes & have breakfast. A friend who had stayed there the previous week recommended Lotus8. The Website of the hotel helped us decide to go there. We called & booked our room for the following morning. The hotel provided free airport pick-up. The staff were courteous & helpful. Housekeeping responded quickly to send us a pair of scissors to cut the security tag for the checked in baggage. While my wife changed, I went up to the terrace to enjoy the view & see the restaurant located there, which would open later. For breakfast, there was a choice of South & North Indian fare. I had Channa batura reminding me of my days in Delhi. The usual South Indian variety was also available including payasam. There was a mural of a ladder opposite the restaurant entrance going all the way up to the 3rd floor & I was tempted to attempt the climb ( can't of course ). So I just took some photos. We were not disturbed by the airport sounds nearby. It is soundproofed. We were soon picked up & we left with pleasant memories of our stay in Lotus8. It would have been good if there was tariff for a slab of 1-2 hours as we were charged for a minimum of 5 hours stay. We paid Rs 1, 600 negotiated the previous day ( as against the tariff of Rs 1, 800 first told ) when we booked the room. It did not include breakfast. For the 2 hours stay to change our clothes & for breakfast paying over Rs 2, 000 did seem rather on the higher side. It is however lower than the Rs 2, 400 charged by a bigger & better hotel very close by ( possibly breakfast is extra ). Overall a pleasant stay, though may not choose it for a stay over one night as the bathroom is a bit small.
Located ideally for air travellers who use the Cochin Airport. Rooms are spacious with excellent amenities. Wash room needs better make up especially, fittings etc. Could be changed. Staff were courteous and helpful. Overall, good and comfortable especially, if you have those early flights to catch and wish to rest before. Also, Kaladi being nearby, assured of a visit to the place of birth of the great Shankaracharya.
