It was a homely experience at lymond house. Rooms could have been better. Also hot water wasn't available most of the time. Though service was good staff was less. Breakfast was served late but the staff did their best. The number of staff and help was way to less.
Lymond's House is a name for me to remember for life.I had visited the place 1 year back with my wife to spent a week of holiday over there. Right from the moment we stepped into the hotel,we were mesmerized by the kind of reception we got at the entrance itself. We can't forget 'Sarnishi' the hotel manager over there, who was cooperative in any possible manner during our stay.He extended his support beyond our expectations,so much so,that he personally went to the market place for the some of the routine goods we needed during our stay. Sarnishi used to take care of the breakfast and the meals with such an interest, which can be better termed as passion.Breakfast used to be the kingsize and so the meals. Coming on to our room,it was a large sized double roomed cottage with fireplace and a large bathroom. The bathroom even had a heritage style table and chair.Sarnishi told us that some of the britishers had the habbit of studying in bathroom(kind of amazed us---). The greenery and the ambience in and around the hotel, still makes me crave to visit the place again and again. Sarnishi even arranged a bike and a car for us to visit the places in and around ooty.He personally called his friend at 'The Norther Hay' at Mudumalai and made our visit at Mudumalai,a memorable affair too. Though,I could not go to the place again but I just keep waiting for the time,to fly over there.Hopefully,I will again make it to Lymond's house soon and I wish I could still see Sarnishi, there again.

Lymond House is a beautiful old building with nice gardens. The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly. In particular, they organised us a great guide to take us into the tea plantations and show us some tribal villages - we would really recommend doing this. Service in the restaurant was a bit slow. room was good and spacious but it's bathroom are very old. food was not so good as i expected from this hotel. staffs are little bit lazy but nice in behavior.
I enjoyed my experience in this hotel.Best for a honeymoon stay.We went there for exactly for the same. The location is very beautiful.Climate is awesome. The hotel stay is very friendly that they can guide us to the nearest locations to have fun.Food is awesome.
the hotel is located at bi away from the main city and its calm place. Staffs are polite and management is very stringent and maintenance is not that good. The suite rooms are good. Please dont prefer delux rooms., They are worst and waste of money. Food is deicious and cost worthy. Overall experience is average.
Lymond House is a beautiful English bungalow situated in the prime area of Ooty(next to Taj Savoy). It is not a traditional hotel style stay and thus it offers a common firehouse area and library to its guests. The staff is friendly and well mannered and quick. The food is tasty and you can always consult the manager for various needs. Pros: 1. Location 2. Ambiance 3. Friendly/homely staff Cons: 1. Little expensive
It was very nice experience. Hotel is a very well maintained property. Rooms are well furnished and have a good ambience. The lawns and the grounds are very nice. We did not interact much with the staff. We were there only for a day. There was a strike that day and we could not get the lunch. We had our breakfast and one meal there. It had an old British bungalow type look. It was worth the money that we paid. The room had a TV. We had food at Dominos in the town. There was no swimming pool but they arranged a horse ride. Apart from that they had no recreational facility. It was a relaxing holiday. Overall it was a very nice experience. The staff were not too receptive and they need to be attentive.
Overall experience in the hotel was good and the hotel location was excellent. It was difficult to reach this hotel and we went in our own vehicle. There was a parking space available and the appearances of the hotel were like a guesthouse and the staff service was excellent. There was no delay at check-in and check-out and the rooms were clean and neat with all the facilities like AC, TV, and geyser facility was in working condition. There was no view from the room and they provided food it was good in taste and quality. There were no activities available and I went with my friends. It was worth for the money what we spent there and it is a recommendable hotel for all the travellers.
Lymond House is a very nice place for someone to chill out on vacation. Set in an old well preserved english style they have all the amenities and the room n bath is very very spacious. You need to ask for any service you want but you always get it.
