The hotel is about 3 kms from boondocks on the way to pagoda point. Its in a nice serene area next to a baby coffee plantation. New barrio and superior infra and rooms, apple-pie beds and sheets blankets, abounding parking. One affair was there is no inter com or allowance account button. So you accept to go out and alarm the boys but they are m....Read More

I stayed at MM Holiday Inn, Yercaud for three days from 13th to 15th May 2011 with my wife. As I was looking for a calm, quiet and decent accommodation away from the hassles of the mad holiday crowd I chose this place and made my bookings a month in advance from Chennai by making a booking payment of Rs.1000/-. Mr.Neethimon, the manager of the Inn, was all helpful to make the bookings and guided me right from Salem city to reach the place safely and comfortably. MM Holiday Inn is located around 2.5 Km from the Yercaud bus stand on the way to Pagoda Point, an important visiting point in Yercaud. If you are looking for an imposing structure, with a basement car parking, shopping mall, and lot of crowd you will be disappointed. The inn is placed next to a coffee estate and surrounded by greeneries to fill your lungs with unpolluted clean air full of oxygen. I stayed in a self contained single room meant for double occupancy with a comfortable sit out and western style toilet. The room equipped with a double cot bed, a Cable TV, comfortable closed cup boards and two chairs. The room was kept fresh with newly changed bed sheets and pillow covers. The inn has a Canteen to serve you tea or coffee around 6.30 AM in the morning. The Chettinadu style of vegetarian breakfast of, idly, vada, poori, dosai, pongal and uppuma served around 8.45 to 9.00 AM adequately answers to your taste buds without affecting your stomach. Similarly the Veg/Non.Veg dishes served for lunch and dinner are good. Special requests for milk at night are attended to without fail. The food rates are moderate for their quality and I paid it without grudge. The cook Mr.Somu catered to our requests for night dinner Chapathi and Dhal without garlic. The staff at the inn were willing to listen to meet my requirements and made my stay comfortable. I will be very happy to visit and stay over there again. A.Jyothi mahalingam
Awesome views! True to its tamil translation - \'yeri\'(lake) and \'kaadu\'(forest), Yercaud is a walker and hikers paradise. Miles and miles of forests of silver oak, conifers, wild ferns not to mention the numerous fruit trees and last but not least the coffee and pepper plantations beckon the visitor to really cool their eyes and chill out! The resort is at a location with nice views; the rooms are simple, very clean and good value for money. Food is available only if ordered, especially lunch and dinner. Breakfast, tea and coffee is served everyday. The term \'restaurant\' is therefore slightly misleading since it is not open for the general public. Though we found that this seems to be the case in many other hotels in Yercaud. Staff are friendly but could be a little well presented. As for leisure activities, if you enjoy long walks then THIS is the place. We used to walk nearly 10 kms a day taking in the sights, enjoying the greenery immensely and being pleasantly surprised by some of the well kept buildings and gardens and topiary. The mountains are a sight to behold and the 20 hair pin bends when viewed from the Lady Seat point is truly breathtaking. All in all Yercaud is a place to be seen and experienced. We are definitely going back!
Overall, the hotel was worth the price only on the lodge front. The restaurant, though the food was about average, the price was on the expensive front. The staff was very courteous and the room was decent enough. It was quite difficult to find the hotel as the directions were not sufficient.
My stay at the hotel was comfortable. The staff were courteous. The hotel arranged for a pick up and drop from Salem Jn. railway station.
Awesome location tucked away from towm (3km) best for quiet holiday for those with own vehicle, well-maintained premises, very friendly staff and management, tasty homely food (requires prior ordering, except buffet complimentary breakfast), good facilities in the room
