We stayed in hotel during October 2014. The whole group was happy. Living, entertainment and toilet/bathroom facilities were very good. We have not experienced food as we were to go for Ajanta Ellora visit. Service was good. Billing was correct and economically very good for a group as compared to hotels nearby.
This resort is located at a prime location in Aurangabad. This resort is located in vast place and staffs are good, though don’t expect much as during high occupancy room service can stay affected. There are many tourist location around Aurangabad like Ajanta & Ellora caves, Daulatabad fort etc
MTDC Holilday Resort is quite close to the railway station and situated on a large plot of land and well maintained garden. Located in th heart of the city, the resort is value for money. Room and sleep quality are above average and the food served is also good. The resort also offers tours to Ajanta and Ellora caves at a very reasonable price. I would rate the place 7 out of 10.
The hotel is clean and well kept, nothing fancy. Located in the heart of the city. There are many tourist locations around Aurangabad, the best being Ajanta Caves and Daulatabad Fort are absolute must-visits. The fort is sheer brilliance with many mazes including an "Andheri" - a pitch dark passage to confuse invaders.
I've been here twice since last November. This is government resort so, building is bit old fashioned. You can get rooms here at eleventh hour also. Office staff is courageous. Rooms are quite bigger than usual. Rooms are neat & clean unlike anyother government resort. They also provide information regarding tourist spots in near by & overall Maharashtra. Food available is great. All services are provided at reasonable price. I will recommend this resort for its rooms, services & food.
It is the first resort governed by the Maharashtra tourism and is well maintained. It is really a beautiful place to stay at Aurangabad. It is in budget with best facilities are available. It is governed by the Maharashtra tourism which is safe to stay. The best benefit is that, you can book rooms in advance from Maharashtra tourism site. (http://www.maharashtratourism.gov.in). Location and accessibility is best and up to the par. As any transport means can drop you here. This resort arranges all your transport facilities to surf in or around the city. Staffs are well maintained and helpful. You can really feel like you are in heaven as you treat like a royal for their staffs. Foreign Exchange facility is also available so you can never go anywhere for exchange. The rooms are clean and greenery is spread all among the resort. Overall experience is good.
Overall experience was good . The location and accessibility was excellent and could get accommodation even in the odd hour . Proper tourist information was Available Transport facilities were arranged by the hotel staff in a dependable manner The staff was helpful and co operative Food served was good However The maintenance of the rooms were average A general apathy to client satisfaction was palpable Management Could be more thoughtful about the restoration of the past glory and making it a much more wholesome experience
In the year 2013 I had visited this hotel. The room was not much neat and clean well-maintained. My experience at this hotel was average. The location of the hotel was good. The staffs and services at this hotel were very good and friendly. There were no activities and sightseeing trips held by the hotel since I was busy. The ambience of the hotel was well-maintained as normal hotel. The food that I had tasted at this hotel was good. The hotel was valuable and suggestive to other travellers.
We stayed in Family room (3 Bed AC @1400 tax) at MTDC during Jun 2013 with Family (2 Adults and 2 Child). Booking Experience : Did phone Booking, Booking was smooth. Traveling Experience : Traveled from Mumbai to Aurangabad by Car, started 06:00 AM from Powai and reach 1:00 PM, 369 KM, Route selected Mumbai -> Ghoti -> Sinnar -> Shirdi -> Aurangabad, good road condition. Only 10 KM bad road observed after Shirdi, before Vijapur. Reaching experience : Reached at 08:00 PM, very easy access, Just opposite to Aurangabad railway Station. Property is located in a lush green area, a huge property. It was Perfect climate, cool weather around 26 degree. Check-In Experience : The resort was quite clean, at reception (next to main gate), took 5 minutes to complete the formalities, Staff was friendly helpful. Next to reception, Travel Desk is available, very friendly, shared me Map for Aurangabad, direction to travel, timing of travel. Thank you. Inside the room experience : Reached the Family room at 1st floor allocated to us, Room was large with 3 beds, 2 Sofa, 1 central Table with 21 inch TV, having all channels. Mosquito repellent with two new mats. Big size Bathroom having Hot and cold water. Overall, the room was OK maintained, Cleanliness of rooms, beds, bathroom/toilet was just OK but an overall air of shabbiness prevails. Towels provided were clean. OK room for Rs. 1,400 for family and for a day. Quick Walk around : One restaurant in the campus offering North Indian food, big garden, New Guest house construction is going on. Dinner served was tasty, breakfast was good. not tried the lunch. Overall, MTDC Aurangabad has the best location, value for money, decent experience, will stay again with family.
I am satisfied with the experience I had at MTDC. The room was nice, the food was good. The location was also convenient.

Hotel was located conveniently. Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and cooperative. Hotel appearance was good. Room was spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. I am not too sure whether any one from the Maharashtra Government or even from MTDC would be reading this or whether this would even create an impression on the Government Of Maharashtra. However what I would like to say that MTDC property in Aurangabad is strategically located, but sadly the Maharashtra Government does not believe in maintain the same. The Rooms are filthy rarely cleaned. There are rats roaming about freely in the rooms. When you complain to the manager, he has one answer to give i.e \' Aa? gaya hoga, ab kya kar sakte hain\'. The Manager is out there to fleece people of their money and make an extra buck for himself. The Restaurant is dirty. You have to keep requesting the waiters to clean the tables. They clean the tables with their hands. No swipe or even a cloth is provided to them. Not only so, there is only two waiters managing or rather trying to manage the show. Kind of facilities which are provided are not even worth the money MTDC is charging. It is a shame to see the state of government run resorts. I have been to other MTDC Resorts also like in Ganpatiphule and Nashik. The state of these resorts are also similar. Traveling around Maharashtra made me realise that it has vast coastal line and picturesque places such as Ratnagiri, however the government does very little to promote tourism in the State. Where as staying in other state run resorts such as that run and managed by Garhwal Tourism, Uttranchal, Karnataka and Himachal tourism is pleasant experience unlike MTDC Resorts. I hope that Maharashtra Government would realise the same and start taking care of these resorts.
