Top Reviews of Madri Haveli Hotel
Check-in and check-out procedure was smoothly done. I booked AC room there and it was spacious. Lake view was visible from the room window. AC, TV, geyser and other necessity items were present in the room and functioning properly. Wash room was well furnished. Location wise, the hotel was located near to the lake. I faced no problem to find this hotel. They provided the pick up and drop facility. Look of the hotel was like a Haveli. Services were on time and also behaviour of the staff members was friendly. I visited there with my family in September month 2014. I stayed there for three nights. My overall experience in the hotel was nice. I used restaurant facility in food and quality of the food was very nice. Cost wise, the food was reasonable. Nothing was available in activities. They did not organise any sightseeing trip for us. As a destination, Udaipur place is very good. I have no suggestion for hotel improvement.
The hotel was located nearby the lake. There was no delay in check in and checkout in this hotel. The service was done on time. The room and washroom was spacious and clean. All amenities were provided in the room. The food quality was good. The variety in food was provided in the hotel. I had visited this hotel with my wife. I would recommend this hotel for upcoming travellers.
This is one of the nicest places I have stayed at in India. It's a very well refurbished Haveli. Done in a contemporary way with a small art gallery in the middle. The staff are great, place is located quite close to the foot bridge over the lake. The restaurant on the roof was such a nice place to sit. The room was very nice with a very stylish bathroom. The windows do lack natural light however. But that's to be expected. Food there is great. If you want sum traditional stuff you get here in Rajasthani style.
The staff is quite humble. Had no problems during the stay. The hotel is a revamped 300 year old house. The vicinity and where the hotel is situated has a lot of character. You will either love it! Or, hate it! No in-betweens. The roof top restaurants have breathtaking near 360-views. You can see a section of the city palace, lake Pichola, the new city, & the monsoon palace. And, actually beyond up until the hills that surround this beautiful city. My advise is that you make plans to move around and do things instead of planning to hole up inside the hotel room. If you're interested in the latter, then you should look at some resort or a luxury hotel, not this one. There aren't any frills like swimming pool, spa, gym etc. It does have a boutique feel to it. Yes, it does provide toiletries, towels etc. The room even has a mini-fridge. When you get there do look at the album at the waiting area that has some history of the project which took nearly 7 years to build. The present owner is a Frenchmen who visits the property often but does not reside in India. The Chai is superb! Have a pot, even if you are just one person. You will anyway get a pot of tea, no cup please. Lastly, do visit the barber shop right opposite the Haveli entrance. Ask for a head massage if not shaving. It will cost you Rs. 60! If interested, you must go to 'ganga, jamming, sarasvati' to purchase authentic and honestly priced local garments & upholstery.
Check in and checkout was on time. The service was very good. The room facility was provided inside the hotel. The hotel was located inside the city. The service was good. Wi-Fi facility was provided inside the hotel. The behaviour of the staff's was good. The food was good with only vegetarian dishes served. All facilities were provided inside the room. The parking facility was not available inside the hotel.
