Hotel Review of Ramsukh Resorts
Comments: Overall experience in one word - FUN. Even though this was (March) not a peak season Mahabaleshwar was bustling with people. Ramsukh resorts (where I stayed) was completely booked. In fact we had to be content with forest facing rooms instead of valley facing rooms. If you are planning to stay at Ramsukh then ensure that you get valley facing rooms. As they provide a better view and have a balcony which forest facing rooms lack.

The resort itself has lot of amenities like swimming pool; gym; games room (with TT etc). In addition they also have ayurvedic massage parlour and meditation center. They play movies in afternoon in a makeshift theater which is also used as a discotheque in the evening. In addition on evenings they have a variety show in the dining area (alongside pool). You can enjoy this while sipping coffee and cudling up in the quilts they provide. You can also enjoy a night of star gazing. They have a powerful telescope and you can view saturn (with its rings); sirius and some other stars.
Best Experience: The resort is located at old mahaleshwar so it is very close to Alberts point. This point entails a small trek with 6 other points in between. Visiting this point was definitely the best experience of the stay. You enjoy breath-taking view of the mountains. It is advisable to take a guide (they charge Rs 60 / trip). The guide provides valuable inputs at each of the points. If you are visiting this point it is advisable to carry caps of soft drink bottles. The reason being if you throw these caps from Alberts Nest then instead of going down the caps rise up. This is because of air flow that happens. Watching it for the first time really awes you.

While going back to Pune we also stopped over for boating at Venna lake. This was also a delightful experience though not totally unique as boating can be done at many places. Then there is also MAPRO factory tour. You can watch bottles being packed in a live factory. The best part is its free.
Worst Experience: The trip was so much fun that there are hardly any sore points. However couple are highlighted:
> The toilets of the resort did not have any curtains on the windows. The windows also were made of plain glass which were transparent.
> The resort itself is located at old mahabaleshwar and the approach roads to old mahabaleshwar are not good qualilty. Also, most of the good things (like go-karting; boating etc) are in new mahabaleshwar.

Hotel Review of Ramsukh Resorts
The location of the resort is excellent. It is away from the hustle and the crowds of Mahabaleshwar. Hospitality and attention was really good. However the resort gives the feeling of being a 'run-down' property as there were several areas that were not looking well maintained. e.g. run down exteriors, badly maintained swimming pool facilities etc....
