Mahabalipuram food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Apart from the popular spots, I liked spending time on the beach. You can take a ride into the Bay of Bengal and see the submerged temples. I also liked the handicraft bazar at the Shore temple.

Hotel Review of GRT Temple Bay

I didn't make a reservation, but being a weekday, we got a comfy sea-facing room on the first floor of the main block. The package that includes breakfast and meal-credit has increased the resort's value propoposition. The resort is large enough to allow you to spend a two-night stay without ever having to venture outside....
