"The place is real value for..."

Overall experience was wonderful. The place is real value for money. The rooms face the sea and are truly good. I had read earlier reviews that the rooms were dirty etc but I found the rooms to be very good and clean. We had breakfast in the hotel and had lunch and dinner at Adyar Anand Bhavan which is 2 kms away. Since we had a car, the combo of AAB and TTDC hotel was very good.

Best Experience: The best experience was obviously the beach and the proximity to the beach that the rooms had. Also, the pool looked clean and good. But maybe the water reacted with our skins.

Worst Experience: The variety for lunch and dinner is limited in the restaurant although the taste of the food is not bad. Breakfast is very good. We managed by driving down to nearby AAB. We had a skin rash afterwards. We suspect it could be from the pool.

"Service is slow and..."

Terrible experience. The reception staff cheated us with the room rent at almost double the price they charged others(4500 for a day), under the pretext that it was a package which included breakfast and dinner. However, dinner was HORRIBLE with spoiled food. They wouldn't let me speak to the manager and when i complained, reduced the room rent to what they were charging others, apparently. They asked us to order what we wanted due to the bad dinner buffet and said we wouldn't be billed for it. However, they sent the bill soon after. The pool was okay and the beach is a minute's walk down, which are the only good things about this place. They are cheats so beware. And service is slow and incompetent. Food is below average.

Good, worth the cost. good facilities with nice neat rooms and very good reception.

About Mamalla Beach Resort

Mamalla Beach Resort is located 3 km from the heritage town of Mamallapuram and 40 km south of Chennai. The resort is surrounded by lawns and casuarinas groves. Mamalla Beach Resort is 60 km from Chennai International Airport and Railway Station. Mamallapuram can be explored on bicycles hired from the resort. The beach is sandy and the sea is rough so it is not advisable to swim unless the guests are experienced swimmers.
