"Average hotel but worth stay"

5.3/7
Posted 1 month ago

I stayed in this hotel in December for family trip for relaxation. The destination was very clean and had beautiful beach. The hotel location was close to the ancient structure and had too much heritage. It was very close to this bus stop. The hotel had good ambience and maintained. Reception was helpful and prompt. I booked this hotel directly and the room provided was very average as it was very small and congested. In fact the bathroom was not maintained well. The hotel service was very slow and the food was okay nothing great although the complimentary breakfast was good. The overall my experience was okay and I would recommend this hotel. The only suggestion was there was no lift in the hotel hence if you get room on the 3rd floor you need to carry your luggage.

"Best Staycation"

6.8/7
Posted 8 months ago

My job was to basically click pictures of the town. So early morning, evenings I used to be out on the streets looking for characters and great light. First of all, the staff in this hotel are really young and efficient. They were really friendly and approachable with ever calm smiling faces. I got a room facing the road and on the same floor as the swimming pool they had. Services were excellent. I had one of the best stays of my travels. Millo ankha

"Good hotel close to the sites."

5.6/7
Posted 9 months ago

Pros: The location is very good. It is a very short (5 min) walk to the sites" I. E. Arjuna's Penance, Varaha Mandapa etc. The shore temple and the beach is also at walking distance. The lunch thali is excellent. Dinner is good provided you stick to South Indian fares. Tariff is reasonable. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and both are spacious. There is not much noise and place is quiet. Front desk and staff were courteous and they helped with all our travel needs. Breakfast spread and taste is very good. Cons: Breakfast was a bit slow in getting served.

"Overall good place to stay "

5.4/7

Overall good. Location wise its in the center of city. Renovation required as it was quite old. When we were there it was going on. So it would have ready by now. Overall value for money. Recommend for budget travellers. Not very luxurious but good for a day stay as it is walkable to the sight seeing places.

To put it in short, we were thrilled to be pampered. The room was luxury at the rate provided - including the ac, the plush bed and the room corner mini-bar refrigerator! Room service was excellent, the front desk was extremely cooperative, and the overall service was smilingly delivered. Food was delicious, though a few dishes were a shade spicy to our taste, but that may be entirely personal preference.

I'm sure when it was first open the hotel was very smart. But, it has been left to rot, and is in need of some tlc. An OK hotel in a really great destination. Room Tip: Go high, third floor. But there is no lift, so you need to be happy with steep stairs.

Mamallaa Heritage Hotel in Mamallapuram is a government approved hotel. The hotel will suit every pocket. Location of Mamallaa Heritage Hotel in Mamallapuram. Room Facilities at Mamallaa Heritage Hotel in Mamallapuram. The décor of the rooms are basic, bordering on contemporary but the essence is Indian. There are 38 living units at Mamallaa Heritage Hotel in Mamallapuram. We were a group of 3 women. The bed was fairly large and comfortable. We requested for a rollaway bed, which much to our surprise, was big and comfortable. It did not give the feeling of a mattress. The air conditioned rooms with satellite television and in-house movies for your entertainment. The attached bathrooms have separate shower, hot and cold running water. The hotel also offers IDD telephone, voicemail, broadband internet access, dial-up internet access, deposit boxes, tea or coffee making machine, mini bar and so on. Hotel Amenities and Services at Mamallaa Heritage Hotel in Mamallapuram Other amenities at Mamallaa Heritage Hotel in Mamallapuram comprise of restaurant, bar, business center, conference facility and fitness and recreational facilities. Currency exchange, laundry, valet parking, room service, travel information and others are included in these services. Overall -The hotel is good for one or 2 day stays, especially non-fussy folks with a \'chalta hai\' attitude.
