Manali food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Sight seeing requires three full days. One day for snow point which includes solang valley, rohtang pass. Another day for Kullu manikaran which has natural hot water springs. The last day for local sight seeing. One can spend the evenings on mall road, loittering with your pals or special some one.
Shopping is fine with not too expensive merchandise. The food is a bit expensive. But considering that every item is shipped to the hill top from down below, one can expect the prices to be like that. Rest, warm clothes and shawls are fine. There are three 'tension-free' shops which offer the best prices on garments and apparels.

Comments: Fabulous! It was not snowing but it was nice and chilly! The resort is splendid and the food was great.
Best Experience: The rooms were huge. The service was courteus. We also got a cottage at a discounted price.
Worst Experience: Rohtang pass was scenic at best but overall I felt that it was hyped.

Hotel Review of Banon Resorts
We had gone to Kullu Manali during Oct08, We had stayed at Banon Resorts & it was simply excellent. We had dine the booking after doing lot of research on the nets. I had reviewed almost 30 hotels in Manali before I finalised Banon Resorts & I did not regret is one bit. The hotel is located at around 15 mts. walking distnace from the main Manali market. Hotel Review of Banon Resorts
I stayed there along with my family in the month of October. I found that they have taken a wedding reception order and stopped providing room service and Dinner for the common boarders. We had to go to the Mall( around two km. away) to take a cup of tea. They compelled us to take dinner from the menu of wedding party. It was beyond our dignity and virtually starved as we couldn't go outside at night due to unknown...

Hotel Review of Banon Resorts
The location was exquisite.. resort was too good. It was a off peak season... hence we had got a discounted rate with one night off. still when we reached there we got a cottage (for no extra charge) even though we had booked for only a double room. ofcourse not many were there as it was offseason. The view was excellent and food and service great. Activity part was poor.. might be good if u are willing to spent...
