Hotel Review of Orchard Greens, The
Comments: TOG is in the Log Huts area, where the better hotels in Manali are located. It is not a very big property that does not extend much beyond the hotel building area, with a car parking area that can probably accomodate around 20 cars and a small garden area. The property is however, very well managed and maintained and offers good food. The main market area around Manali does not have a lot of eating options and those that exist offer food that is at par with what you get at TOG.
Best Experience: The buffets were the best part of our stay here. Everything on the buffet, though the options were less, were really good and lipsmacking. We were here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our food which we were glad was a part of the package. The service was excellent and the staff courteous and helpful.
Worst Experience: The biggest disadvantage of TOG is that its rooms were not centrally heated. We went to Manali in probably the coldest season - December end, and were given a small coil based room heater that was very inadequate to keep us warm. The hotel would not provide us with a second heater and we had to ask for a few extra blankets to cope up with the wintry cold. This being the only drawback, I would however strongly suggest anyone going to Manali in the winters to consider whether the hotel provides central heating. This anomaly apart, would definitely recommend TOG.

it was good enough, the resort is comfortable and is situated nearing top, away from bustling n noises of city. walk down to market is superb! although coming back walking needs some efforts. seeing apple orchards in the resort was a novel expirience!...

The hotel is in Log huts area of Manali, which is quite close to the city centre. It has a garden with apple orchard, which itself is a breath taking sight, with apples hanging from the branches. Snow clad mountains are visible from the rooms, making the place unique from other hill stations. The hotel is very well maintained with very neat, carpeted rooms. Experience was fabulous . Sometimes it`s good to be just natural . Hotel rooms are fully equipped with ultra modern facilities . I went to Hadimba temple ,Solang valley , Rohtang pass and Manikaran . Manali in its natural self, promises to highlight emotions which often fails to find words ....
