Manali food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Sight seeing requires three full days. One day for snow point which includes solang valley, rohtang pass. Another day for Kullu manikaran which has natural hot water springs. The last day for local sight seeing. One can spend the evenings on mall road, loittering with your pals or special some one.
Shopping is fine with not too expensive merchandise. The food is a bit expensive. But considering that every item is shipped to the hill top from down below, one can expect the prices to be like that. Rest, warm clothes and shawls are fine. There are three 'tension-free' shops which offer the best prices on garments and apparels.

Hotel Review of WelcomHeritage Solang Valley Resort
Comments: Horrible experience. Wastage of money. Staff was rude, especially the front desk guys.
Best Experience: Food was good, the scenic view is good.
Worst Experience: There are hidden costs in the package. Like the cab charges are not included which was not told at the time of booking. We had booked for new yr eve , the itinery mentioned belly dancers and fashion tambola but that never happened. Nor were we compensated for the absence of any entertainment. The staff was very rude in general. We had retun volvo booked in the package, the volvo got cancelled but the hotel staff inspite of being aware abt the cancellation did not bother to inform. leaving many of us stranded on road in chilly weather. Not a single word of apology was asked for. If you want to waste money n spoil ur vacation this is the place to be!!!!

with refer to my booking from 13-15th Aug09, inspite of giving the reception 1 day prior notice for booking of taxi for rohtang pass they failed to do so. the taxi was confirmed for 10am and at 10.30am after having our breakfast on asking the reception they told us that the same could not be arranged. from innova/qualis they came down to alto/Maruti Van. after coming to such a distant place from delhi our whole vacation was spoilt as...

Snowfall had begun by the time we reached the resort. The resort was one of the very few ones to be snow-covered during our visit. Overall experience was rich, much satisfying and magnetic. The snow brought 'icing' on the cake. (quite literally.) The reception and service at the resort is warm. They literally pamper you during the stay and make you cosy. The food served is great. Hotel Review of WelcomHeritage Solang Valley Resort
This is a nice resort, comfortably away from the crowd and gathering of Manali, located amidst beautiful snow claden mountains. The location of the resort is also very near to Solang Velly (a place for mountain activities like paragliding, zorbing etc). There is a mountain river (I think Vyas) just infront of resort which makes the location more beautiful. The service and the food quality was also good....
