The location of the hotel was convenient to approach. The overall appearance of the hotel was very good. The surrounding of the hotel was tidy. The behaviour of the staffs was kind and frank. The room allocated to me was spacious and the bathroom was hygienic. The amenities in the room were functioning properly. The laundry service and Wi-Fi facility was provided by the hotel. I was not able to see any view from my balcony. The food which they served to me was spacious and the price was affordable. The hotel had served both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The activities like swimming pool, gym, spa, etc. were not organized by the hotel. I would like to recommend this hotel for other travellers.

Spend your time within nature calm and quite Mandarin is your destination. Manager and staff are very much cooperative. Everything is user friendly. Excellent hospitality, superb place, superb view of mountains, good food. The rooms offered a good view of the Kanchenjunga. The staff are friendly and offered good service. The restaurant provides tasty food though little bit costly. The rooms are well maintained. Their in house restaurant serve good quality food at a decent price. The rooms are well decorated and at the same time is very well equipped with the necessary facilities. Mandarin becomes really special because it's terrific Sikkimese hospitality. The interior of the room is decent and toilets are clean. Overall mandarin is an ultimate destination on the lap of nature. Excellent resort.

The staffs at the hotel were polite and active. The check in and checkout procedure was done on time. The room allocated to me was comfortable. The bathroom was hygienic. The amenities in the room were worked well. The laundry service and Wi-Fi facility was provided by the hotel. The hot water facility was provided by the hotel for limited time period. I was not able to see any view from my balcony. The food which they served to me was very good in taste and the price was affordable. The indoor or outdoor activities were not conducted by the hotel. It was a very fine hotel. The staffs at the hotel were very cooperative. I was happy with the room allotted to me. I had not faced any problem in check in and checkout. The appearance of the hotel was very modern. The room was absolutely spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. Hot and cold water was provided for all the time. All the arrangements in the room were good for me. The room and the bathroom were cleaned regularly. The hotel had served non veg food. But the price for the food was high. The quality of the food was good. The hotel had arranged the sightseeing trip for me. The hotel was value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. The hotel didn’t have any card payment facility so I would suggest them to provide that.

I have planned my honeymoon in Mandarin Resort, in the lap of Kaluk ranges. The resort is beautifully located in the slide of the range. Seperate cottages are available. Cottages are all faced towards a unknown range which is situated just next to this range. This range is a range of Pelling and behind this great Kanchanjangha resides. If weather are preferable and not cloudy one can see Kanchanjangha peak from his cottage king size bed. The balcony view is superb. We have travelled in the mid of February, though in the day time temperature is quite bearable but, night is terribly cold. We have not planned in the beginning to take a room heater but, at last we have taken it at a rate of 300 per day. The resort have vehicle for pick and drop facility for sightseeing. The resort itself have a view point just laying down few step from the resort. Market place are not available nearby, so for food you have to depend on the resort cafeteria. A small market available but only with 10-12 shop. Bur only food available there is chow Mein, nothing else. Cottage sometime arranges bonfire though we have not got that at our duration. Overall the space is nice for comfortably stay but a little bit costly.

Mandarin Village Resort at Kaluk, West SikKim is set amidst the mountains and offer clear view of the Kanchenjunga peaks from the balcony of the room. A must visit and this resort is one example of virgin beauty Sikkim boasts of. Rooms are comfortable, food is excellent though there is scope of improvement in the services and cleanliness. Check-out took us one hour which was really tiring. Overall a place to weekend visit, as there aren't much activity to do, but if you looking for relaxation and sipping the nature beauty, this is a place to be.

I stayed in the hotel during February 14 to February 17, 2015 on honeymoon. This was an excellent experience for me. The ambience was homely and people were highly cooperative. Stunning view of Mount Kanchanjungha was the biggest gift for us. This is a nice place based on which you can visit Rinchengpong, Peling, Kanchungha falls etc. Its highly recommended.

Excellent location and well maintained. The views from the dining area was stunning. Food was tasty and served hot but not much variety. If you are self driving then you better do your homework well as the locals feel they are losing business if you drive to the sightseeing places and are not helpful. In the hotel there was no library or games room to spend your time but there was a lovely sitting area in the garden where they can arrange a bonfire. Must see the hanging bridge and the quaint little village Uttarey. Better to arrange a short trek from Uttarey.

On returning from Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary this April, I decided to stay one day at Kaluk, West Sikkim. It's 2 hr journey from Hilley and 5 hr journey from Bagdogra. As Kaluk is a new destination, I was little bit hesitant about the quality of the resorts. But after staying at Mandarin Village Resort, I'm completely bowled out and in love. An excellent resort spread over a few acres of land. It's a green resort with pine, lemon trees, rhododendron and it's own nursery. Lush green is there to welcome you. Stay in the cottages like Citron-1, 2, 3 or Pomello-1, 2, 3 and enjoy the ravishing beauty of Kanchenjungha. You can touch them from your balcony as well as bed. Take your favourite book, recline on the chair and spend the whole day in a quintessential beauty of the place and resort. The cottages are basic with every amenities like hot water, coffee maker, tv, power back up and the food is also yummy. The restaurant is beautifully located with an open rooftop sitting arrangement. They have room service on request. We were bid adieu with 'Khadas' by the jovial manager Prashant who himself came to apologize us and handed over a candle as the resort was going to stop the long running generator at night. Kaluk is exceptionally beautiful and Madarine Village Resort can make your stay a memorable one.

This is one of the best resorts I have ever stayed. The location is too good and its in a small village in sikkim. The name of the place is Kaluk. Its not too far from pelling and we have stayed there for 3 days. Its silence its flowers its location its staff. Everything was good but one thing is disturbing and that is worms which we noticed in the floor of our room. But the hotel authority took care of it.
