The village of Mandwa, which is also located nearby, attracts visitors due to the presence of dense coconut trees. Chaul is also a popular tourist spot situated near the beach. "Good facilities in the beach"

Just 6-8 kms where you can get a ferry to Gateway of India. These ferry rides are available on hourly basis and are very convenient for Mumbaikars! Also has ample parking space and food joints for chilling. Should visit in evening for experiencing the peaceful sunset view on this Jetty.

"Great view of Mumbai"

This is the place from where there are launches that can take you to Gateway of India in 45 minutes. Just standing on this beach and watching the Mumbai skyline is also a great experience.

"Second best beach in Alibaug"

  • 6.00/7
  • Posted Aug 14, 2014
The beach is just next to Varsoli beach, in its beauty. Some contend that this is the most beautiful beach in Alibaug, due to the beautiful jetty it has, and an amazing view of the Mumbai skyscrapers. There are a number of shops with a lot of food items (snacks).

The drive to this beach is also very scenic. In fact after the beach sightseeing, while returning to Alibaug you can also bypass the main road and take a detour into narrow roads which have very scenic views. And don't worry about getting lost, you can ask people and they are very helpful. Just a tip that don't take these bypass roads after sunset as they are narrow and have sharp turns.

Mandwa better know for its jetty has a beautiful beach as well. It is among the many beaches spread across the Alibaug coast. There are cottages as well as shacks for accomodation.
