Comments: Excellent food and service. The massage was bad. Beach is dirty. We drove from Bangalore and the roads are deplorable!

Thank God it was Saturday that we checked as on only that that day persons with diffrent attitude on life other than the hotel staff allowed to enter the premises other than helpless guests like me - a local band called Club Expressions which made my time spent feel like a holiday. Average resort with basic facilities which are good enough for a peaceful holiday. Clean beach, though stray dogs were found often. One even chased by wife in the morning and she came running to me - I thought she was going to give me a hug like in movies :-). Well... what can I say? Beautiful beaches and good weather (although warm in the afternoon), our trip was looking good until we arrived at Summer sands Beach resort in Chotamangalore. I had been there during the Tsunami time and liked the service then. We even gave good feedback to other prospective customers! Based on that experience I advised my friends to visit there with me. The resort is a great place to unwind...it's stones throw away from the main mangalore bus stand and hence in vicinity. The property is cool with scores of palm trees and picture perfect cottages...though the cottages need renovation(from inside) The pool is really good but the depth needs to be taken care off..(starts from 5 ft and ends at 9 feet) Toddler pool is fun! We stayed at the 3 bedroom villa. The setting is nice and laid back. The resort is located outside of Mangalore City, in a town called Ullal. Fortunately, there's a market at walking distance. Lots of things to do. Swimming pool is good, the beach is clean, and the people are really friendly. The restaurant is nice, try the sea food there....
