About Manginapudi Beach

voted as clean

Manginapudi is a beachside fishing village, located 11 km from Machilipatnam. Previously, this village used to serve as a port. The Manginapudi Beach features a natural bay containing shallow water. Unlike other beaches, the Manginapudi Beach is made of black soil.

During the festival of Maghapoornami pilgrims flock at the beachside to take a dip in the seawater.  There is also a dance school at the beach, offering courses in Kuchipudi dance form. In the months of February or March, a festival called ‘Krishna Utsav’ is celebrated at the beachside.

"Much sultry and hot but worth watching"

  • 3.5/7
  • Posted Dec 10, 2015
Manginapudi is famous for its beach, the beach is very sultry in all the seasons with much humidity and there is no entry fee for this attraction. In summer people cannot visit the place due to very hot conditions but the place is worth watching with big tides coming which is an awesome experience.

"An awesome place for a day out"

  • 7.0/7

Despite of beaches like Vizag and Kakinada I found this beach very peaceful, crowd is also very less when compared to other beaches. We started from Hyderabad at night 10 o'clock we breached there by early morning. We made our journey by road we enjoyed the journey. The day we went there are around 10 people excluding us, we played some random games with water bottles. We caught a little fish in water and we even took photographs with them. We bought all stuff tiffin, lunch etc as we don't get the required things near the beach. So get all the things in Machilipatnam itself, especially alcoholics we enjoyed till evening 6 o'clock and there will be train from Machilipatnam to Hyderabad at 8 o'clock we returned back by that train.

Manginapudi beach is also known as bandar beach/machilipatnam beach located near machilipatnam about 20 km distance from Machilipatnam. Frequent BUS Auto's taxi facility are available from machilipatnam. We have to visit beach before sunrise to see the sunrise from the beach. It is one of the fantastic moments to see sunrise from the sea as well sun set at evening. Near beach, refreshing rooms are available for men and women to change their clothes after bath in the sea. One Sunday we have visited the beach with my friends there we have enjoyed a lot by swimming in the beach and playing games on the shore side of the beach. Near the beach Lighthouse is also there don't forget to visit the lighthouse. It Is for boats and ships. Near beach fish market is there, we can get fishes, crabs, prawns at cheaper cost. Near beach Dattatreya Temple is there .There 12 wells are there. In those 12 wells, 12 different tastes of water is there. According to my friends and me, this is one of the wonderful and most memorable events in my life .
