Situated at 4 km from Jhangar, on the Nowshera-Jhangar Road is the shrine of Mangla Mata. This shrine was constructed in 1945, when Goddess Mangla decided to shift Mangla (PoK) to its present location. According to the local legend, this shrine was indicated by the Goddess herself in the dreams of different priests associated with the temple.
Tuesdays are the most auspicious days at this temple. Amongst the Tuesdays, the most important one is of ‘Chandi Paksh’, which comes near the day of full moon. The festival of Navaratri is also celebrated with great enthusiasm.
The area around this shrine has many ‘Sthan Guns’ as mentioned in the Vedas. The main features of this temple include a ‘Havan Kund’ and ‘Ramayan Path’. There is also a cave in the place, which is said to comprise the ‘pindies’ of Mangla Mata.
