I visited Jodhpur with my family to take a bit of time out of my hectic schedule and stayed at Mapple Abhay. Located at prime location, the hotel acts like a central point for all the tourist destinations in and around Jodhpur. The facilities and services provided by the hotel were excellent while the staff were very cordial and helpful my nature. All the activities provided by the hotel were excellent. The rooms were quite comfortable and luxurious. The only weak point was the food which was just above average. I would advice all the travellers to start early in the morning so that they can enjoy all the tourist spots in and around the awesome city especially, the Palace. Moreover, being in vicinity to most of the local markets is an advantage for those who love shopping. Overall, quite a good experience and I would like to stay at the hotel again whenever, I get a chance to visit the city again.
From the road as you enter the main gate of Mapple Abhay I didn't feel much of a thrust. They have a good space for car parking. That can accommodate about 10 cars. The hotel is located in a prime location. The reception is big. Not much decorated. They have sofas around for sitting. They provide only newspapers in the lobby. No magazines are there in the lobby to read. The sofa's in the reception or lobby is of good quality. The hanging lights from the ceiling is all great. There was not much about experience about greeting in the hotel. It was with a namaskar from the receptionist. The way all Indian greet. Room was spacious. It also have a clear glass view from the room. I was in the third floor. So there was nothing much to view from our hotel room. Beside the open window there is a small tea or coffee corner with two cushioned chairs and a rectangular wooden table. The room also provides a writing desk. Room condition is good and it sees that it is well maintained. Food in the hotel is also great and tasty. I had buffet in the hotel. The preparation of the dishes were with care. The name of their restaurant is Element. It is located in the first floor of the hotel. Price of the food seemed reasonable. The bed is of good size. And it is comfortable too. They provide with good number of cushions. I didn't have to ask for an extra one. The toilet is not that big. But it is well maintained and clean. There are not much extra facilities other than a normal Indian toilet. The toilet provides 24 hour hot and cold water. Wall hanging LCD television is provided in the room with normal siti cable connection with all types of channels available in Indian TV network. The room is provided is centralised AC. There is no temperature control facility from the room. The rooms have Intercom connection to connect to the Reception, Housekeeping, Room Service, Travel Desk and other services in from the hotel. WiFi in the hotel is available free. Call the reception and get the voucher code for entering into the Mapple WiFi connection site. The strength and speed of the connection is also good.
