Visiting Mandarmani was a so-so experience for me and my family, it is a good place to hangout but only if you love to live away from crowd and city.. It has a very wide and clean beach, so you always have your privacy while enjoying with family and friends there. Mandarmani is good while the sun is on but after sunset there's nothing for you at beach, there's no lighting no market nor any street type food for evening. You have no other option but to live within hotel premises after sunset. Now let's talk about Marino Beach Resort, it was a nice hotel, rooms were well, sea view was nice right from our room, and it has a nice garden, but let me tell you location wise this is the last hotel of mandarmani for now, you have to keep patience and travel deep within to reach this hotel, but once you reach there I will advise you to live at first floor sea facing room only.. Staffs were good. And we personally didn't like hotel's food at it's price.. Different people have different taste.. If you love digha and it's night's charm then Mandarmani is not for you, But if you love peace and privacy then don't hesitate to visit Mandarmani. :)
If you are a beach lover, an adventurous, want to enjoy the wane of sea in the evening, sight seeing of rising sun at the morning and the setting at the dawn, surprising accents of millions of crabs for their abode, Merino beach resort is a must. It is situated at the centre of Mandarmani, being one of the large and fast developing seaside resort village of West Bengal, red crabs crawling around the 13 km long beach is a special attraction, argued to be the longest drivable (drive in) beach in India. Food specially Bengal cuisine is excellent. Service rendered by Merino was very prompt. The location and rooms/resorts provide a direct view to the sea and one can feel the waves and the sea breeze. The lawn is an attraction of the resort. If one needs to beat the heat of daily stressed life, and needs to chill out for relaxation, then a stay at Merino is a must. The room rates are reasonable and the interior is also luxurious. In a nutshell it is a Big coverage in a small package.
I visited this location and stayed in this hotel for 3 days. With regard to location, service, and costing I found this hotel very good. The view of the sea from the room is awesome. This resort is situated in an airy place with a lawn where in the evening snacks are served; TV is placed for the boarders. Since I had gone there with a reference I faced no problems at all. Due to shortage of staff there was delay in service. The rooms are excellent, neat and clean. There was package system with regard to food from bed tea to dinner at different charges; would be served at the relevant time. With bank colleagues, I visited this place for vacation in April 2013.
Hotel was good but the food was not really good. We stayed there for 2 days and 1 night. I travelled there along with my family and friends both. It is close to the beach. There was no sea facing rooms available. Staff of the hotel was very good. Rooms were excellent. They were very neat, clean and spacious with all basic facilities like TV, geyser, refrigerator, etc. AC was available in my room but it was there only for sometime like two and half hours or three hours. Quality and variety wise, food was not good. Swimming pool was not there but garden and gym were there. Location of the hotel was good. Appearance of the hotel was very good. Booking was done directly. There was no problem in check-in and check-out procedure. We were checking in at around 2 o'clock in the morning. It was open in the mid night as well. Mandarmani as a tourist destination is an excellent place. There was only a scope for improvement in the food.
Very nice place to spend your weekend. It was very peaceful experience to Mandarmani. The rooms were clean and quite spacious. Staff are good. The only disadvantage of the hotel is situated little far from market but nearer to MOHANA(5-8 mins walk from the hotel). Food was very nice. We were 4 people in couples. It was a nice experience with the resort. Food prices are affordable. Good hotel for stay.
Very nice trip, everything was good. Very comfortable Journey. Rooms were beach facing, food was also good. Rooms were very excellent. Everything was good at Marina Beach Resort. There were many adventurous sports there paragliding, motor boat etc all was good.
