Hotel Review of Byke Retreat, The
I had gone through the posted reviews and thought to be a good place to stay but what makes it good is the ATTITUDE of the person at the hotel. They make you feel the worth of travelling to their place from a distance and that is what holidays are about. Spread across a big area but they maintain it good and clean. Pools were constantly being looked after and were cleaned with care. I found every person in service during...

Hotel Review of Byke Retreat, The
Resort staff is very cooperative. Daily entertainment events like Ghazals, discos are very fine. Food is excellent. I have been there with my family for 3 days & I found it worth staying at the resort & enjoyed the comfort. During the 3 days, only for 4-5 hours I was out; balance hours were spent enjoying all the facilities of the resort. Only, door locks were bad & massage room stinks. Overall food, especially mango ras, was excellent....

Hotel Review of Byke Retreat, The
The experience was great, the resort has a Heritage building which was the first dwelling place of Matheran, built by the man who discovered Matheran. It was a great feeling to stay in the huge room (with a bathroom whose size would put some modern-day living rooms to shame! :-) ) of this 150 year old house....

Hotel Review of Byke Retreat, The
Matheran is a very special place for us. That's where our relationship (on the mini train ride specifically) started. So we thougth it apt to celebrate our wedding anniversary (21st Feb) there. It was supposed to be a chilled out weekend and chilled out it was as the coldest wave hit maharashtra at that time. I had planned to sleep all of the three days but who can resist the shopping and sight-seeing opportunity? So off we would indulge in...

Hotel Review of Byke Retreat, The
Matheran is a nice place if you want to generally chill out (heard it is good for hikers as well, though we didnt hike). Byke as a resort is good, both in terms of rooms (almost independent), peaceful and chilled out. One area where they could improve however is bathrooms :) Outstanding food would give it a 7 on 7. (though vegetarian). Service was good as well....
