Hotel Review of Regal Hotel
Comments: I and my wife went to Matheran from Pune for a weekend break . Matheran is the most beautiful and enchanting place . We went in the peak of monsoon. The roads were muddy and slippery and it was really pouring . but it was still so serene and Green . matheran has a lovely charm in monsoon which has to be experienced ! . the hotel was very accesible to the main market area and a known landmark in Matheran . the staff , especially in the front office were very courteous and friendly . The food was excellent to say the least . The variety and the pure taste really satisfied us . The Hotel management personally supervises the food and takes great care to serve the best . of course it was pure vegetarian . But it was really top quality that even Non vegetarians like us enjoyed a lot !
Best Experience: Of course the food and the accesibility to the Bazaar and various points like Alexander and Khandala point
Worst Experience: only one which is the non availability of Hot water after 12:00 noon . the room service staff do not give hot water if you request them to boil it and give which is strange since it is a hotel in a hill station ! Another was the Monkeys ! Beware they try to sneak in the moment they find the door or window open ! :-))

Hotel Review of Regal Hotel
Matheran is an excellent place for a weekend or 3/4 days leisure travel experience. I liked the place as it has got thick forest and you can walk endless. The place is beautiful to experience absolute peace and fresh air. Vehicles are banned here. So either you need to walk or hire a horse or hand-pulled cart. You can get different views of valleys and hills all along the way....
