Hotel Review of Richie Rich Resorts
Comments: This is a very average resort, with overall poor service. You will be besieged with Gujratis here.. Gujju food for bfast, lunch dinner; not a single non-gujju in the crowd, entertainment events are held in gujrati instead of Hindi ! The location is in the middle of the hectic market area. Rooms were just about ok, with a dirty balcony that had a mediocre view of the resort property. Hot water only for a couple of hours in morning. AC rooms not of much use in daytime coz of the power cuts. Though i like Gujju food, here the food tasted poor with less variety. The attitude of staff is high-handed.. avoid this resort at all costs !
Best Experience: Are you kidding me ? THe best experience was undoubtedly the check-out, when I was so relieved to get out of this place !
Worst Experience: Take example of lunch. While booking I told them since I am checking-in late, can I have the lunch the next day. To my surprise they refused, and no amount of arguing could make them see reason. Any decent hotel can easily agree to this request.. have done it before in other hotels in Matheran, but they gave lousy excuses that my lunch plate would be valid till 2.30 and go waste if I didnt have it by then ! Finally I had to forego the lunch and I had it outside. Liteally left a bad taste in my mouth !

I have been to Matheran quite often ,must say its one of best weekend getaway from Mumbai 's busy life .Matheran gives you scenic beauty of Shahyadri Ranges . The best part of experience here was Horse Riding as there no vehicles allowed inside Matheran and Toy Train travel from Neral to Matheran ....

property is decent...clean, well maintained... food can be improved...actually there is no option, just the fixed thali...heavily loaded towards the gujarati cuisine. clean byt very small pool... evening activities were gr8, though i am not sure it is conducted the year round....

This is one of the best resort I've ever experienced. Manager him self pays an attention to the customer if any difficulty is there. As I was having my 2 1/2 years kid with me in the Matheran, and she got teriffic feaver. Hotel Staff helped me lot in this situation. As no Medical Stores are available Hotel Manager Mr. YADAV gives her daughter's medicines to my kid. THANKS A LOT. But people travelling to MATHERAN...
