"Must visit place, near to Banasura dam" new review

  • 6.5/7
  • Posted 4 days ago
Travelled in Aug 2016.

This is around 10 mins from Banasura Dam. Try to park the vehicle as close as the entry gate.

Entry fee is around INR 30/- and Camera charge is Rs 75/-. You need to walk around 500 meters to 1 km...

We got almost constant shower, not heavy rain. Be careful when it rains, the roads gets muddy.

You can reach the top and take Bath in water. Also, there are few places where you can enjoy if you are not going to the top.

Few local shops are there, you can have tea, coffee, maggi.

"Adventerous climbing to see Falls"

  • 5.0/7
  • Posted Jan 11, 2016
Not allowed to take bath. Not for old age, pregnant women and infants.

One has to climb the rock with help of ropes tied by forest office. We had splendid and adventurous climbing with help of a forest office staff. Good one to take pics with falls and rock.

Nice for trekking, clean area, well-maintained and have a guided tour also. Very safe for bathing and enjoying the falls. Kids will love it. We can have a brilliant view from the top of the falls.

"Water cascading in three steps - Marvellous sight"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted Sep 9, 2015
We had to take the trek path on Wayanad - Ooty road and about two kilometers drive took us to this spectacular waterfall. The water cascade from a height of about 300 Meters in three steps and when it reaches the bottom it sprinkles to a wide area. The natural atmosphere, the journey to the spot and the cool climate are to be mentioned when we say about the visit to the beautiful waterfall.

"A natural fall still not tainted"

  • 3.5/7

Yes its natural surrounding is good. But no approach to bottom of the fall is quite disappointing. The feeling of water spray on face at bottom of the fall will be quite exhausted.

"Super Adventurous"

  • 4.5/7

Adventure into this trip only if you are sure you can go all the way through. This adventure is mostly for the youngsters. But it is worth the visit. Elderly people should if possible avoid.

"Not to miss the view of droplets"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Sep 10, 2014
I reached there almost around 4 pm, the perfect time for trekking in this place. Well carry some water with you, you will need it afterwards. It was a superb experience for me after reaching the waterfall; I could see cloud formed by the water droplets, which came from the force of water hitting the rocks. After reaching, the other side donít miss out the coconut water selling at that hill top, it was an mind blowing incident for me.
