Excellent location and surrounding nature. Beautiful flora and fauna. The only sound you hear is of waterfalls and birds chirp. Cool place even during summer. Good for family and for all. Nice swimming pool surrounded by tea garden. Nice Kerala food.

It was a leisure trip, traveled on 10/05/2016, from Bangalore. The thrill and excitement begins once you enter the property. A great resort amidst a private tea estate. We were two families and had booked a deluxe room. The moment we reached we were welcomed by a refreshing drink. To our luck our rooms were upgraded at no extra cost. The rooms were clean, with clean bathrooms and private balcony. The food served was really good. The staff were very courteous, friendly and would never disappoint us in any aspect. The best part of the resort is, they have really good, well maintained view points within the property, the best being the BAMBOO ISLANDS. See it to believe it. A lot of activities for kids and adults. My advice to travelers, the view points around Wayanad are pretty far from this place also nothing available close by, but that should not bother you, order the required food well in advance and enjoy. A resort really worth for relaxing and enjoying the in-resort activities like the pool, cycling, badminton. Etc. If you happen to be a nature lover you would enjoy still more, the scenic forest just opposite the resort. Enjoy the sight of beautiful birds at early morning, peacock, well I was lucky to see a wild elephant passing through the forest. A very peaceful place away from the concrete jungles we live in.
Meemutty Heights is located in the Northern district of Kerala, wayanad. It is about 28Kms from both Sultan Bathery and Chundale, on the Meppadi - Vaduvanchal - Gudalur Road, quite close to the Kerala - Tamil nadu border. We drove up from Calicut at about 9:00am and reached the resort at about 11:30 . We were greeted warmly by Mr.Jacob, the person in charge at the reception, with a welcome drink ( passion fruit juice). We were then escorted promptly to our cottage which was located at the top of a hill. The access road when viewed from the bottom looked quite a challenge. The cottage and its location more than compensated for the steep climb for the jeep.... there is ample parking space adjacent to the cottage. The panoramic view from the sit-out of the cottage is stunning. Rolling tea plantations on the front, a tropical forest to the right and a rivulet winding down between two hills on the left.... the gurgling sound of fast flowing water was so soothing...... By about 12:15pm the mist started rolling in and we were engulfed in a blanket of white till about 3:00pm - it felt as if we were sitting amidst clouds. The hills and scenery had disappeared from sight in the mist. Even our Jeep parked about a few meters away was hardly visible!!!.... We had lunch at about 2pm - non veg thali (good, wholesome yummy meal) - which was served to us in the cottage - we ate lunch on the sit-out in the mist. After a short nap, we went about exploring the resort property and climbed up the meenmutty falls view point. The scenery from here is so green and lovely. There is a shed here with benches and tables made of bamboo. We made good use of the solitude and downed a couple of drinks at leisure. On the way back to the cottage, we took a short dip in the rapids - the natural jacuzzi. The water was so clear - but quite cool. Lying in the rapids clinging on to the rocks to avoid being swept away was also quite an experience. This activity is not so dangerous as it sounds though.... We used the rocks as bar counters to pour drinks and sneaked a couple of rounds lying in the water. The dip in the fast flowing cool water was very refreshing. We retired to the room by dusk refreshed and hungry. The buffet dinner spread served at the resort restaurant was not to our liking - though we found a couple of dishes which were palatable. The sound of crickets and other nocturnal insects was quite loud in the sit-out. But once the doors were closed the cottage was so peaceful, cool and serene - even the gurgling sound of the rivulet was shut out. We slept well and woke up relaxed; raring to go, The second day started with morning tea served in the room at 7:30 am sharp - as instructed by us the previous night. Breakfast Buffet (South Indian) was excellent.... After a stroll in the tea gardens till about 11:00am.we took another dip in the rivulet andreturned to our cottage sit-out to wait for the mist.... it actually did turn up like clockwork at about 12:10pm!!. We sat in the mist and played cards, lunch was served to us at the cottage - we had Chinese fare - which again was quite good.. We had to take a nap after another sumptuous meal. By the time we woke up, it was evening. So, we downed a couple of drinks sitting in the cottage sit-out, enjoying the sun set. At dusk it suddenly started raining - the rain was so heavy that we were forced to vacate the sit-out and move indoors. The rivulet filled up with muddy red water and the gurgle of water turned into a roar. The rocks which had served as our temporary bar counters last evening disappeared from sight - along with our wish of taking another dip in the stream the next morning. The weather dramatically altered the ambient temperature too ... it was even colder the second night. We had dinner in the room and settled down with an extra night cap to warm us up. The second morning also started with a wonderful cup of tea served on time by a smiling room service attendant - peter. We had breakfast - buffet (carrot juice, battoora with subzi ; bread toast, butter & jam) , sat around for another 3 hours playing cards and checked out by about 11:30 am to grudgingly return to our everyday activities.... This definitely was a memorable week-end get away - which hopefully will be repeated soon!!!
Waynad in Gods own country. I travelled to Wayanad on 14th February with my wife leaving Bangalore around 8. 30 am to reach Meenmutty resorts by 4. 30Pm. I had booked my accommodation in Meenmutty Heights Resort very close to Meenmutty falls. Meenmutty Heights Resort is located in a 200 acre Tea and Coffee plantation. It is truly a place to unwind far from the Maddening Crowd and is peaceful and serene. The Resort is surrounded by mountains and lush greenery all around which is exhilarating. Since I do little bit of writing I found this place to be ideal for my work. The staff are polite well trained and make you comfortable all through the stay. The room allotted to me (R-1) was spacious with a sit out where from the sunset can be watched. A Mini fridge, coffee maker and bottled water were available in the room to make the stay more comfortable. The rooms are maintained clean with change of bed spreads and towels every day. The resort also has a swimming pool and an Ayurvedic massage centre. The room service and food quality was quite good. The morning walk through the plantation was beautiful with the river flowing on one side. There is also a view point where you can see the water flowing from Meenmutty falls. On the whole it was a nice stay we had at Meenmutty Heights and we do plan to visit the place again since we did not visit all tourist spots during this visit.
We were 8 family travelling with small kids and children. It has been a long time since we had planned to go out with our beloved ones rather than usual official one. It was in August 2013 we were there. I had seen the view of this hotel through their website and found it impressive but still not satisfied as everything was virtual but chances of reality was not sure. Since we were going for the first time I was more curious about the location and hotel. We need to take 3 hours drive from Mysore after long journey overnight from Chennai. I was just anxious with how it would be. When we landed at the bottom of resort I was just about to jump in air but still we did not reach the exact location. We need to climb up the slope through terrain Jeeps for another odd 75 MTS. Wow... we have just arrived to location of beauty and nature to welcome us with gushing sound of water stream beside hotel. Temperature was excellent and it was around 2:30 PM in the afternoon. Me and our team got back the freshness we lost during the travel. This gave me first positive insight of their website. Our team were completely enjoying. We were given a warm welcome by the team and introduced ourselves. Later after a quick lunch we were taken to our individual rooms. I will never forget this moment in my life. Location was simply beautiful. Rooms were built in such a way the everybody visiting their can have all angels of surrounding hills and far view of tea plantations during your each step. I have no words to explain the moment. It was like the hill basking under the fog and trees trying to put their faces out of it to be seen by nature, with mist and water droplets keeping them fresh and lively. Now I am convinced that this was best location and happened to be true as mentioned in their web site. Rooms and amenities were fantastic. Well served for a family of 4 to share luxuriously. Provided with tea table and cleanly maintained bathroom including hot water facilities. Their food menu had varied tastes but was fine. just recommend to share you taste to them before you go so that it well add more to your enjoyment. Plenty of services offered for tourists like trekking to near by hill side steep waterfall, River front nature view restaurant, guided tours, room services, Camp fire. Advice to travellers is you need to plan accordingly and timing to be maintained as going in and out of this location consumes time. So plan a extra day. As other sight seeing destinations are bit far. We experienced too much of travelling for 1 hours spent there. I wished to stay there in the rooms and go around trekking or visit 1 or 2 location and come back to resort to spend the beautiful evening settle. This is must experience everyday. We and all our family members had a wonderful stay and still in our minds. Surely I will recommend this resorts for everyone but advise to go in groups to enjoy the maximum.
The overall experience at this hotel was excellent and I did not find any kind of problem during my stay. I had been here with thirty two members and we had an enjoyable time here. The hotel is convenient to locate and the place is really nice. The appearance of the hotel is maintained well from inside as well as outside. There was no delay in check-in or check-out. The rooms allotted to us were maintained neatly with all the required amenities in good condition, and there was a view of coffee plantation. The staff members in the hotel are very good and attentive in services. The food provided by the hotel was good in quality and taste, and different varieties were available. There was camp fire arranged by the management and sightseeing trip was done on our own. It was a corporate booking but our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed the stay here.
