The town of Menal is located 90 km from Chittorgarh, along the Chittaur – Bundi Road. It is popularly known as mini Khajuraho, due to the natural landscape and many temples.

There are various ancient temples, belonging to the Buddhist culture and excavations are revealing more and more temples. One excavation has shown the presence of a 12th century temple.

Besides the temples, there are many waterfalls and forests.  Menal has become a famous picnic spot due to its natural landscape.

"Waterfall in dry state is a treat to eyes"

I've been to Bhimlat waterfall in 2012 & since witnessing that amazing waterfall, I had heard a lot about menial waterfall being bigger & more amazing than the former! Although, I was searching for an opportunity which came around in November 2014! However, it was a business trip to Bhilwara & while returning to Jaipur we picked our way through ladpura & then picking up the nh-76 (from chittorgarh)! After traversing not much distance from ladpura we had lunch in menial resort! The place is so awesomely built over the hills! The visitors can consider themselves lucky to have best seat in town to witness the waterfall! Though the waterfall had all
Dried up because the rainy season had ended up! Hope I would get more opportunities to visit this place in coming time! What I didn't like about the resort was that they had some exotic bird in their campus poorly kept & not being feed ed properly! Apart from that the place is superb & food too!
