Hotel is amazing, location is awesome, actually it gets fit with its name "Misty Mountains", when you look down there are mountains everywhere, we just loved our stay there, food was very good, especially the south Indian and desserts were really tasty
Hotel is located at a very good location. One can visit the Kathakali, Stunt shows next to the hotel. Overall I liked my stay in Misty Mountain. Food is good, rooms are clean and good staff. I suggest travellers to stay in this hotel and enjoy.
Misty Mountains is a plantation resort spread across 600 acres, situated at Kuttikkanam, Kerala. This was our second visit to Kuttikkanam, and both the times we had stayed at this resort itself. The resort mainly provides three types of accommodation - Dewan's bungalow which can house two families, Wooden chalet and Riviera cottages which can accommodate one family each. This time, we decided to go for a one night stay in a Wooden Chalet. The resort is right next to the main road that leads to the Kuttikkanam main junction. But, you won't feel the noise outside as the bungalow as well as cottages are tucked away from the main road. The Wooden Chalet is spacious, and the highlight is the private balcony which opens to a little forest. Yes, the plantation is vast and it offers almost everything that we want from a tourist location - waterfalls, viewpoints, sunset point, trekking, a small lake, canoeing facility etc. The only difference is you can enjoy all the above things inside the plantation - no need to go to different places. So, once you check-in, instead of using it just for a night halt, take your own time and enjoy the plantation itself. When we visited, it had rained the previous couple of days, and there was a waterfall inside the estate, which we covered during the jeep safari. The recommended time of visit is immediately after the monsoons, so that you can enjoy the greenery as well as the waterfall inside. Regarding the room - it was spacious and well-maintained. The bathroom was also reasonably spacious and clean. Regarding the service, the staff was courteous and helpful. There is restaurant inside and the food was decent and reasonably priced as well. The staff also arranged a jeep safari to the view points, and the waterfall inside the resort - for additional 850/-. Overall, if you love nature and love to be with nature, then this place is highly recommended.
