Hotel Misty Palms is not a hotel but it's kind of a lodge which is situated miles away from main Coorg in midst of forest. It is not in the network area zone. Unfortunately, the pictures and reviews of this hotel were so misleading that I ended up visiting this place with my family. The place works on solar power and they have been so keen on ecofriendly atmosphere that there are hardly any lights around and in the room there is only one small bulb and no fans at all. The room is itself a house of insects and you have no other option than to stay with them. Cleanliness of room, bed linens, bathroom and linens, surrounding area was not maintained. The owner was quite courteous and as we were the only family he took good care. They serve good homemade food. There is a stream passing by near the hotel and there are also many adventure activities for kids like crossing over the bridge etc. Not recommended for TOURISTS who want to enjoy Coorg and it's sightseeing. After travelling so far on bad roads in the midst of the forest at night without lights and without knowing where to go as the hotel had a very few and small sign boards ,the stay was not worth at all.
The stay was memorable for more reasons one being it was my wives birthday You ll get a pleasant cottage and a nice well maintained swimming pool in front of it. The Place still reminiscences of the Scenic beauty and the comforts ofcourse. You feel pretty safe and the service was right on time and food tasted really good. I would advice this resort to the people :)
Excellent place to recharge and de-stress yourself. The scenic beauty and zero pollution atmosphere surrounded by vast expanse of coffee estates really adds to the beauty of the place. Stay was very comfortable and in house food served was very good. Very nice and cooperative staff. Trekking, outbound sports, stream walk etc was very interesting. Pleasant night with clear sky and illuminated stars was an excellent experience. In all it was a memorable trip and would be eager to visit again.
The surrounding of the resort is very beautiful and enchanting. Service was good and food was also nice. The outbound activities area was very interesting and engrossing. Early morning hrs was really awesome with the clear view of Bhramagiri mountain with mist all around. In all our stay was very satisfying. This remote place surrounded by Coffee estate and mountain was really relaxing and rejuvenating.
