After a long working year we wanted to retreat our self for few days and choose blindly a place called Almora. as we are going there for the 1st time we gathered some information about the place and finally decided to stay at Binsar 10km away from Almora. As there are many hotels and resort, we didnt got any difficulty to find the resort in this area when searched in internet. But bad news was that it was a long weekend and most of the resort of our choice were already occupied. Finally we decided to stay at Mohan's Binsar Retreat & we got a room at discounted price. We were not sure what kind of hotel it is & specially room which we got at a discounted price. But to my experience was totally surprising. it was a very good hotel.
The hotel is finely located and no delay in check-in and checkout process. The rooms were spacious, clean and neat and the amenities provided by the hotel were in good and functioning condition. There was a valley view grasped from the room but no activities was organised by the hotel. There was a sight-seeing trip arranged from the hotel but I did not utilise it. The food at the hotel was fabulous with buffy system and the money spent to the hotel is value. The staffs at the hotel were proficient, helpful and quick responding to the calls also the appearance of the hotel was beautiful.
Top Reviews of Mohan's Binsar Retreat
My group is a trekking maniac group. Usually we go on a tour of 5-6 days, but at this point of time we were lacking with the number of days. So we targeted binsar where we can reach in less amount of time. We had already booked our room at Mohan\'s Retreat and we landed there early morning. The first view of the hotel looked like we are entering into a grocery shop but soon we passed that passage we were on a complete new place. The reception, the dinning hall, the lobby all were looking great and here we met Mohan ji to whom I spoke over the phone earlier while making room reservation. Soon we had the keys of our room and we marched down hill to get into our room. It was a room from where we had a complete view of the mountains and mother nature. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and on top of that we had a T.V in the room with Tata Sky connection...isko laga dala to life Zingalala... We all were tired so we all went to the bed to take some sleep. After an hour we woke and we all were feeling like an elephant is dancing in our stomach. We had a look at the menu placed on the table and ordered some food keeping our fingers crossed. After some time the food arrived in our room and we were able to smell an awesome taste. The working staff was very nice as they were handling our requests on time. At night we wanted to have some chicken in our meals so we spoke to Mohanji and he assured us that you will get the best chicken of your life...and it really was.. The taste of that chicken is still coming in my mouth. A juicy chicken which was melting in our mouth....awesome. We were the right people, at right place, but on a wrong time.......we visited this place in the month of June. Due to this the weather was not so much pleasing. But as i earlier said that we were the right people so we managed that hot weather also. Usually it becomes hot by the noon as the sun is on top of your head while the night were cold. I would like to say that this is place to visit after monsoon till the month of April. Avoid the months of May and June as these months you wont be able to make a difference between the summers of Delhi and summers of Hills. Dont go to the binsar wild life century as it will be a complete wastage to time and money. You have to pay a good amount of entry fees as well as a guide fee and what you will see is nothing....no leopards...no deer...no bears nothing... it will be like a simple jungle trek. Once you decided to be in binsar, Mohan\'s Retreat is a place to stay in where you can relax, where you can have a peace of mind. On top of that a tasty and delicious meals. Dont forget to have a tuna salad, cold coffee and juicy chicken. This is a place to do nothing just sit in the balcony and relax while having a glass of wine watching mother nature. This is how we made our experience good.
It was one of the best trip in my life. The location of the resort is fantastic. Moreover the owner of the resort Mohan ji is a jolly and down to earth person. Not only Mohan ji, his brother Pappu is also very cordial and they provide honest and sincere advice to their customers. They provide best accomodation and food with a very reasonable rate. Forgot to mention the backbone of the resort, their staff. They are also very cooperative and sincere. The quality of food is excellent with several options like italian, chinese.Overall stay in the resort was a memorable one and I think if anything becomes memorable to your life then you cann\'t compare this with money. I recommended everyone who go to Binsar, stay in Mohanji resort and cherish the serenity and beauty of nature.
Hotel was awesome. Beautiful view was visible from the room. Almora as a tourist place is wonderful destination for travellers. Staff was helpful and quick to respond on call. Interior of the hotel was average because it was located at on hilly area so entry was not very grand but reception area was attractive. Hotel exterior was very attractive and maintained. Hotel room was spacious and well furnished. Room was facilitated with TV, geyser, bed, pillow, blanket and well maintained toilet. AC was not there because it is very cold area. All food varieties were present in the hotel like veg non-veg, buffet, International, Indian and everything. Food was decent. Check-in and check-out process was timely and smoothly. Bonfire activity was arranged by the hotel. I belong from Delhi.
