Monarch Hotel Reviews
Hotel was excellent with spacious room and reception area. The indoor swimming pool is very nice and good for family. The only thing I have mentioned that the interior of room is old and need to improve and secondly the location of hotel is far from market area but it can be shadowed under the overall experience.
Please cleanup the furniture and window panels are so ugly and dirty that's very embarrassing to 4 star range. Need to be newly furnished or atleast polished revamped, we stayed in 306 and 307 on 4th May, if above work done it's very good for a romantic location. All other aspects are satisfying ie food, location, staff and facility.
One of the best place to stay in Ooty. Nice staff. Enjoyed with family. Value for money. Quite spread out for kids to enjoy. Being a bong another connection being owned by our beloved Mithun Chakraborty.
Location is far away. Old hotel with poor maintenance. Not so good bathroom and fittings are very very old. Disturbing disco at night. Very expensive food, taste not worth for the money we spent, breakfast also not good. Overall below average and poor value for money.
Nice hotel, out from commercials, 3Kms from city, peace guaranteed and good place for relaxing. Had nice time, staff are good, humble but staff did not inform about the indoor games.
Hotel is good, though it's a bit old and looks that it calls for some maintenance, especially the outside and lawns need maintenance. Location is away from city so commutation is an issue if you are not travelling in own vehicle. Overall is good for relaxation.
We stayed in this hotel in Apr 2nd week. This is a Okay kind of hotel- but not bad. The lobby is lovely, but not properly maintained. Having said this breakfast was awesome. Very satisfied with a variety of diseases and at last but not least this hotel has a swimming pool which is hard to find in Ooty :-) (not sure if you can use it or not but it w....Read More
The hotel's biggest plus is its location, high up on the hills and away from the noise and bustle. The view from our room was fantastic. The property is showing its age and is definitely past its best days. No heater/air conditioning, the breakfast was good but it is repetitive.
1) Second day the wifi service was not available in the hotel. 2) Second day, Same bedsheets and towels were re-arranged after cleaning the room instead of changing it. I had complained to the room service staff and scolded him. 3) Instead of providing two single beds, they should provide one double bed. Even if you join two single beds there is....Read More
Location wise good, however facilities are only available if you pay for that eg fire, food are really overpriced and not at all worth, try to negotiate with restaurant manger they are ready with negotiate on food - that was crazy and very awkward to do with manager.
