Hotel Review of Bear Mountain Jungle Resort
Comments: The moment we stepped into the bear mountain resort, we were greatly disappointed since it was nowhere near to how it looked on the web site. They asked us for the advance amount immediately and continued visiting our room to follow up on the amount. Room service was really bad. Customer service was nowhere in sight. No one bothered to inform us the timings for lunch or breakfast. We had to walk up to the kitchen area inspite of which no one bothered to find if we needed anything.
No privacy for a delux room. Rooms are placed right next to each other and the sit out area had to be shared.
Best Experience: None whatsoever
Worst Experience: We placed an order for 2 bottles of water and they never bothered to deliver them until 4-5 hours (after constant follow ups).
If you are looking for a hospitable or a homely place, Bear Mountain is the wrong place to stay in. There are a couple of other resorts around this place which are worth every dime you pay.
For us it was a waste of money and our holiday. In the end, we cut short our 2 day holiday plans and checked out the next day.

O man... this place is a sweet dream turned into nightmare. They only know how to ask money as advance the moment u step in. Each day they visit u several times only asking for money. Room service is sooo pathetic that one cannot put it in words. They are lazy to the core. The place is nothing special as u feel as if u r in any other resort that u would get near Bangalore. Food is not good...

Overall, it was a fulfilling experience of waking up to chirping birds & staying at such a wonderful place. It really rejuvenated me & charged me up to face the Monday morning blues & hmm, luckily I dint have any as I was in such a great mood after holidaying at Bear Mountain resort. The icing on the cake is their pricing....

Was a great experience, an adventerous drive through the ghat sections(36 hair pin bends) from Ooty into a place which was at the foot of a hill and just beyond the resort was what you call a semi forest excellent for trekking and other activities. Overall the location, service and food was great....
