Hotel Review of Bear Mountain Jungle Resort
Comments: O man... this place is a sweet dream turned into nightmare. They only know how to ask money as advance the moment u step in. Each day they visit u several times only asking for money. Room service is sooo pathetic that one cannot put it in words. They are lazy to the core. The place is nothing special as u feel as if u r in any other resort that u would get near Bangalore. Food is not good apart from one or two dishes. Snacks is pathetic. The cottages are right next to each other hence there is no privacy. Infact u have to share the sit out with the occupants next door. If u opt for a camp tyoe accomodation then u need to go down the stairs to use the bathroom. The staff is arrogant!!! Its expensive and a waste of money. There are many other places right next door where u will enjoy your vacation. Its a warning... do not visit this place
Best Experience: none at all
Worst Experience: something as simple as mineral water reached our room after 4 hrs of request for the same. Time and again disturbance for paying money advance

The overall experience at Bear Mountain Jungle Resort was satisfactory. The location is perfect, you have to drive through the jungle area before you get to the resort and it was a mini safari expereience...

Overall, it was a fulfilling experience of waking up to chirping birds & staying at such a wonderful place. It really rejuvenated me & charged me up to face the Monday morning blues & hmm, luckily I dint have any as I was in such a great mood after holidaying at Bear Mountain resort. The icing on the cake is their pricing....

gr8 place!wonderful mountain for trekkin...n the stream waz refreshing too.but id like to see more of the colourful plants in the resort...id suggest the tents b outdoors,not in a hall.......

Was a great experience, an adventerous drive through the ghat sections(36 hair pin bends) from Ooty into a place which was at the foot of a hill and just beyond the resort was what you call a semi forest excellent for trekking and other activities. Overall the location, service and food was great....

Bear Mountain is a rather new resort run by Hugh and Vivian Tyman who both make an effort to see that their guests are taken care of and also have a complete wildlife expereince. Travelling in the month of march before the rains has both its pros and cons. In order to see wildlife, one needs to trek in fairly stifling and hot conditions, although given the dry weather, animals are spotted near watering holes and canals which makes spotting...
