Maugham Garden is one of the best beautiful garden in Srinagar. We visit there at December. All the places in Srinagar are indeed heaven. Kashmir is a must visit once in lifetime. This place filled with flora is a feast to eyes. This garden was made by Mughals. This is a beautiful garden which has different kind of flowers and Chinar tree. Apple trees are also there.

"Ice cold water and beautiful gardens"

You get an opportunity to wear local dress inside the park for an extra fee. Beautiful garden. This place is known for the source of pure clean ice cold water. Don't forget to get an empty water bottle, the water is pure and crystal clear and good for drinking.

"Awesome to visit the garden during sunset"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Feb 2, 2016
The visit was very good even awesome. When I just entered it was looking nice, beautiful and charming. It was the time of sunset and from that garden when we saw the sunset towards Dal Lake, it was one of the best thing I saw and it was eye soothing. I think we can't describe it by words it can only felt. And the garden was itself beauty.

"3 gardens at one place with Dal Lake around it"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted Jan 26, 2016
There are three gardens - Nishat, Chashmashahi and Shalimar. And they are all around the Dal lake. So, you can start from Shalimar and visit all of them in a row. The best time to visit is April (everything is colourful) and October (The Mohabattein Scene - Red Chinar leaves everywhere).

"Worth place"

  • 5.5/7
  • Posted Dec 28, 2015
Aww, it's so good. The important part was that the garden was decent and really historic because it's located just infront of a mountain. Entry charges is 20 Rs per person for garden. Take an auto which will cost you 60 Rs from Main market. Additional benefit is that Dal Lake and Swami Shankaracharya Mandir is at walking steps.

"Beautiful garden and well maintained"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted Dec 17, 2015
Mughal Gardens are very beautiful with water fountains, small chashma's, big lush green gardens. View is very pleasing to eyes, we enjoyed clicking photos as it was an awesome combination of hills in the background and the gardens. Small entry fee was there for all the gardens.

"A good garden with excellent views all around"

  • 6.5/7
  • Posted Dec 6, 2015
Worth visit it in summer, as it is in the way to Pari Mahal, so one can cover both attractions in a single shot. If there is cloudy day then it will be a heaven, please see the photos. However in winter I don't think it remain as beautiful as in summer (March to May). So depend on the season and personal taste. Recommended to visit both Pari Mahal and Chasme shahi if you are in Srinagar.
