Lot of my friends recommended this place as the tariff or Rs 1300 with food was good when on budget. I booked 2 rooms a month in advance in Sept 2014. Did online transfer or Rs 2600. Unfortunately, I got Dengue and had to cancel the trip. As agreed before, the management promised to transfer 50% of the booking amount back. I constantly followed up with them, but they gave some or the other reason for delay in refund After almost a month they claimed that they transferred the amount to the account I had given, but the amount did not reflect in my account. They were not able to give me any transaction reference number and asked me to call later every time I called them. This continued for 3 months and after a while I let go the money So, please beware when you do advance transfer.
Me and my team visited to this heavenly place. It was amazing place with awesome cottages. Mouth watering yummy food. Definitely 200% worth the money. So if you planning to stay in Chikmagalur you should just go ahead. Its very nice to visit Chikmagalur in monsoon. With a light drizzling rain. You'll enjoy the cold climate. Must visit once in your life. You'll enjoy the most.
This is one of the worst resort I have ever come across in my life with very poor facilities such as no hot water for bathing and very bad tasted food. We had ordered the resort for 19 people but they provided only 15 cots after fighting we got another 4 beds that needs to be placed on wet ground. There is no power facility in home stay. When the owner Sachin was contacted finally the dispute ended with bad response hence I would request not to select this as your choice.
My stay was very bad there but food was good. It was not located in the centre of the city. There was delay while check-in time because rooms were not ready, they were not very clean. Service and all were not good there. No activity was there. Tariff of this hotel was Rs. 1300 per person including breakfast, lunch and dinner. I visited there with my friends. It was kind of a tracking trip. Chikmagalur as a destination is excellent. Location of the hotel was average, not that great. Appearance of this hotel was worst. There was no front office. Booking process was bad. Overall service was also bad. Room and its facilities were worst. Food and drink was good. Activity part was average.
My overall experience in this hotel was good. I travelled there by my own vehicle. I was able to reach the hotel comfortably without any problem. Location of this home stay was very good. Chikmagalur as a destination is excellent. I visited there in August 2014 with friends. It was a relaxing holiday. Appearance wise, it was very good. It was kind of cottage. There was no network in Mobile. Booking was done through net. There was no problem in check-in and check-out so it was excellent. Overall, services of the hotel were very good. Staff was helpful and friendly in this hotel. They were responding for all our requests. Complimentary breakfast and welcome drink was provided by them. Taste and quality of food was very good. Veg and non-veg both types of food were provided by them. Room was good. They provided proper facilities there. There was no view available. It is in the middle of the nature. Camp-fire and other activities were available there but we did not use them. We did not ask them for sightseeing. We had our own vehicle. It is definitely a recommendable hotel to other travellers.
There were lots of bedbugs in the hotel. I stayed in the hotel for a day with my family during the month of October 2014. I booked the room online. Tariff of Rs. 1, 250/ per day. I really had a bad experience in the hotel there was no power supply in the hotel. The appearance of the hotel was bad. There was no reception in the hotel. Non-veg food provided was full of salt. There were no activities and it is like a ghost bungalow. The tariff is very high considering the service offered. It is not recommendable to other travellers.
We went to Chikkamagalur for a three days trip. After getting some positive reviews about this resort, we had booked it for three nights but after reaching there we realized that there was nothing as promised like Bon fire, BBQ, etc and worst was there were rats in the cottage. In the wash rooms there was no water available because of rain ceiling was pouring and we ended up sifting to one room, after a horrible night, we decided to leave the room but these guys wanted us to pay for three nights as we had booked it. First we gave them Rs. 1200 extra, but still they were arguing to pay more and when I spoke to the owner, he was not ready to listen. Instead of catering to our problems they said, you should have known that here it always rains and ceilings will pour . .
My overall experience in the hotel was good. It was located in the village and the location was very good. The staff were helpful and professional. They were quick to attend our entire request. The interior was not so good but the tree house and everything was good. But the location was awesome. The room allotted to me was well maintained and clean. It had no appliances in it but there was a valley view from room. The food was average in quality with all the varieties of food. There was no delay in check-in and check-out procedure. There were activities in the hotel arranged. The stay was value for the money and I will recommend it to others. The suggestion is to have warm water as that was lacking.
