Best Experience: The highlight was a daytrip to the river, where we spent the morning swimming and scrambling over rocks. Meanwhile, our guides lit a fire on the beach and served us much-needed hot tea when we finally emerged from the river. We also enjoyed the bonfire at night.
Worst Experience: No

"A nice, quaint, clean place..."

Best Experience: The view of the mountains and the clouds from our cottage was superb. They have a chocolate shop which sell European style chocolates and local artifacts - well worth a visit. Enjoyed a game of table tennis in the games room. The owner Mr. Gupta is a gentleman and very helpful. He helped us in our transport to a train station which was about 100 kms from the resort and himself drove us halfway through when the driver did not turn up on time!!!!

"Look out of the bay..."

Best Experience: The short walk to the tea stall, and the tremendous monsoon sunsets (as you sip \'organic\' tea) are things we won\'t easily forget. I could write more, but why spoil the surprise for others? Fantastic views, I clicked over a hundred pictures. The food at the Mountain Trail restaurant is good, but their continental fare is outstanding. Truly exceptional when you consider you\'re sitting at 7000 feet on a remote hill-side.
Worst Experience: Service was a bit slow at times; we got the feeling they were a couple of people short on the serving staff. But then, we\'d gone in the rains and that\'s off season...

"Mukteswar is an ideal Delhi..."

Best Experience: I could just put my feet up and read endlessly sitting in the lawns in complete peace. well occasionally \'disturbed\' by whiff of cold breeze or a bird\'s chirp!

Best Experience: Good location of the resort. On a clear day, I assume one is able to get a good view of the Himalayan ranges. Food is simple and the staff accommodates to your taste, if necessary. Feel-at-home green environs. To top it all, a good balance between respect for the Nature and providing basic facilities within the room is maintained by the resort, which is well appreciated.
Worst Experience: The day we reached, we were greeted by a downpour - we were told that it had not been raining for quite some time in that area. Our hopes of sighting the Himalayan ranges were shattered as it stayed cloudy even the next day - we at best saw the picture/ photograph of the ranges put up in the restaurant and the room. :-( But the brighter side is that there will be an excuse to go back to Mukteshwar..... During our stay, there was perhaps one more room that was occupied by another couple - the resort put us up adjacent to their room. Unfortunately, the walls just work as partitions and are not sound-free. Unfortunately, our request to provide us another room was declined which was pretty disappointing.
