Been to Chikmagalur but not visited Mullayanagiri? Then you have missed a lot. The peak is on its highest of western ghats. You get to see everything from the top in summer, and nothing but chilly mist (fog) in winter. Do not miss the temple....... More

Drive to the Mullayangiri peak was the most exciting thing. Caution to all the travellers there is U turn 8 km before the Mullayangiri peak. The directions are not clear. If you miss that U- turn, you would end in Baba Buddan Giri, which is....... More

Driving to this peak was awesome experience. Even after reaching the peak we will have to walk steps to the extreme peak of the hill. There is a temple on top the hill and scenery and the sunset view is beautiful. More

About Mullayanagiri

Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, is located in the Baba Budan Giri Range of the Western Ghats. Standing at an altitude of 1,930 m above sea level, it is the highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris. Tourists can relax at this site that maintains a temperature range of 20 0Celsius to 25 0Celsius. The mountain range features grasslands, rugged rocks along the trek path and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva on its peak.

The trek route begins from Sarpadaari, which is connected with Chikmagalur by road. Located in the Baba Budan Giri range of the Western Ghats, the mountain peak is the highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris after Chembra, Banaura and Vellari Mala peaks located in Kerala.

For adventure enthusiasts, the location offers an opportunity to engage in activities like mountain biking, trekking and road biking.
