Hotel Review of High Range Club, Hotel
Comments: If you are of a certain age where you want to relax, go on long walks/easy treks, eat good wholesome food served by old time servers and have the ambience of a club which sends you back to the 1950s/60s then please go and stay at The High Range Club Munnar! The rooms in the main building are a little on the old side but more than make up for it with the view , the spaciousness and VFM. The bathrooms are newly done and everything is clean in the hotel. The cottage rooms are new and cost that much more.
Best Experience: Munnar and the various areas where you can walk, in the tea gardens, on the roads,( Not the Town road) anywhere, is just too good. The views at every turn are better than the previous ones.
Worst Experience: NO worst experience Though I did sprain my ankle on the last day. I was immediately helped and given a spray(and Iodex!) to use. If you happen to sprain your ankle or anything else use ICE immediately! That is the best remedy

Munnar is probably what Ooty and Kodaikanal were about 20 years ago. And if they don't watch out they will reach where Ooty and Kodaikanal are today in far less time! The High Range Club, used to have a reputation of being rather orthodox and regimental in the days of yore. You don't need a tie and jacket to walk into the special rooms these days (except on a Saturday, I understand)...

It’s a club owned by the Tata Tea Ltd. It has a nice 18-hole golf course which is one of the main attractions of the club if you are a golf player; it’s a boon and you will have no problem passing time.
