Hotel Review of Sterling Days Inn Resorts, Munnar
Comments: The ambiance was really excellent. Rooms were really good and Housekeeping on their toes on call. Resort has got good activities. The outside walk upto Club Mahindra and excellent valley views are really great. The Resort Reception and Travel Desk are really great. Help from Resort managers was always there if needed. Excellent Holiday for a week. The kitchenete comprising of hot stove and utensils were really great. Hot water available within short time via Geyser. The holiday activities for Sight seeing is excellent and guides very helpful and accomodative.
Best Experience: Travel Desk arranged tours at reasonable price. If they could not accomodate on package tour, they even arranged outside reasonable vehicles at cheap price. On sterling arranged package tour guides were accomodative and even the drivers of tours explained each and every place. Stand for drying clothes and change of knives in kitchen was immediately done over phone call by the Housekeeping. Even when we accidently switched off the power, electricians helped to restore power immediately. The Room Locks were good and we felt safe in the resort where security was excellent.
Worst Experience: Improvement in the cubboard drawers and doors could be made, which was not shutting properly (probably due to climatic conditions). Indoor activity was not available very much (due to off season probably).

As this hotel is good 30 mins away from Munnar you'd expect to be compensated in terms of great view, outdoor activities but you get nothing. The room was dirty and smelled terrible. The entire place seems to be falling apart. The only brightspot was the value for money. Everything the massage, room service, taxi was very resonable. We wish we had rather stayed in the Club Mahindra resort next door....

as we drove through madurai, the climate was very pleasant. we touched thekkady first in the morning & reached sterling munnar around three. checkin was not much of a hiccup, however the room given to us was quite far off from the reception / restaurant. after getting fresh, we went in for our lunch at the restaurant at sterling which was the worst experience. the soups were stale, food was very much spicy & the service highly unprofessional. Location is abpout 20 KM away from town. It is very expensive to commute without own vehicle. Romms are not very well maintained. Food is OK. Service not bad....
