Hotel Review of Kamats Murud Beach Resort
Comments: Not a very great place. While we were there, some renovation work was going on. Also, the room had some seepage problem and the place smelt & felt very damp. The beach has black sand.. we did not feel like bathing in the sea. Best to skip Murud.
Best Experience: Nothing great really... just that rooms were available as walk-in customers after Silver Sand Beach Resort (Harnai) turned us down even though we had booking there. If you do happen to go to that stretch, then this is the best hotel of the lot there.
Worst Experience: the place smelt & felt very damp

Overcharged to start with - will return about Rs 1,000 in a months time. Hopefully will get it back. Terrible room - bugs, rats, very cold. Paid for two nights, checked out after one - but still charged food, room for two nights. (went in 'peak' season, so that may the justification for this)....

Among the stay at Murud, Guhagar and Ganapatipule we considered the stay at Murud the best. The one reason for this is the location of the resort and the value for money deal. For its pricing the resort does full justice as a place to enjoy the sea....

It was fabulous! We drove from Pune to Murud- Harnai via Mulshi during peak monsoons...the drive was beautiful. Waterfalls in their pristine beauty and full flow, green surroundings, and excellent roads (courtesy Maha Govt!), the drive was a treat in itself. The private beach was fully ours (it appears very few travel that way in monsoons..that's sad) to freak out...we surely did. The trip was coupled with visits to Harnai(a cute fishing village), Angarlai (temples of Ganapati & Durga), bath...

A highly enjoyable experience. The destination was beautiful no doubt but surprisingly the road was also very smooth and travel - conducive. The beach (private) is spotless and the sea is absolutely safe....
