Hotel Review of Sand Piper Resorts
Comments: A delightful,sleepy town - perfect for a weekend away from Mumbai. The combination of a crowd-free beach and hills was truly beautiful. The location of the resort (overlooking the hills, the sea and a fort) was great.
Best Experience: No examples to give but the higlights were the relatively untouched beaches and the unhurried pace of sleepy town.
The trip to the Janjeera fort was also memorable.
Worst Experience: None

Sand Piper resort has one of the best locations for stay at Murud. At a small climb from the sea, it offers a panoramic view of the sea and gives a good coastal experience without being essentially a beach resort. Hotel Review of Sand Piper Resorts
The overall experience of our trip to Murud-Janjira was good, although Sand Piper Resorts leaves a lot to be desired. We visited over the Easter week-end, 14-16 April 2006. Staff are courteous, even though a bit ineffective at their work. The food is strictly average, though we liked the non-veg dishes better than the veg ones. One is advised to carry enough cash since the resort DOES NOT accept credit cards, inspite of their Mumbai office claiming that they do....

Its the worst resort I have ever been to in my life. The prices are exorbitant and services are so crappy that would beat even the worst of roadside motels. I would recommend everyone not to even think of this resort if you want to be at Murud Janjira....

The overall experience about the stay was quite satisfying, the place was very calm and serene would be the best place for those who deal with a very hectic schedule..its the best place for those who just wanna go on a holiday and do "nothing" except rest. If u have ur own vehicle then nothing can beat the calmness of this place. The afternoons are lil hot but it gets nice and comfy by evening. the view from our room...

Murud Janjira is fun, especially the visit to the Fort. Sand Piper is definitely not the best option, but a cheap option. We got a package deal working out to Rs. 550/person for 2 days (1 night) including Lunch/Dinner with 4 people in a room....
