"Beautiful Temple" new review

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted 4 weeks ago
This is a very beautiful and ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Normally it will be crowded and it took 30-45 mins to have darshan of main deity. You have to go by steps and people will be allowed in batches to see the main deity. The big statue of lord shiva is excellent and it is visible from far distance. You need to walk little distance to reach this statue. Since it is hot, it is better to carry a umbrella. In the entrance lift service is available to reach top of the temple. But you need to pay Rs. 10 and wait it long queue.

Go in early cool hours before sun is high. View from fort towards temple statue beach is breathw taking. Its merely 1 hours visit but you can just soothe your eyes with serene view 360 degree. Try cave darshan inside temple on 1 st level to see and listen to auto recorded story of ravana and shiva linga.

This Fort is present just behind the Murudeshwara Temple. It was built in times of Vijaynagar Dynasty. Today it has been well-renovated for tourists attraction. It's nice and beautiful place to enjoy.

"A must visit, this one"

  • 6.5/7
  • Posted Nov 9, 2015
Our host told us that a lot of people think the tower is merely an entrance and miss going to the top (there's a lift that takes you to the 18th floor). Keeping this in mind, we first went up the tower. The view from there was breathtaking! From one side, you can view the town, from the other, the speedboats, the third shows you the fishing boats and the fourth and the best - the huge Shiva statue on the seashore. The Shiva status is so majestic, and the location is simply marvellous.

I am not much of a spiritual or devotional person, so I am not gonna talk about the temple. But overall, a must visit, this one.

The huge statue of Shiva next to the sea is mesmerizing, going to the top of the math and the view from there is just too beautiful. The museum is a must visit.

Beautiful temple to visit. You can get a bird's eye view from the top floor. We can learn about the Mythological history of the Murudeshwar temple. The lighted up night view is excellent.

"A treat to the eye"

Murudeshwar is around 500 odd kilometres from Bangalore. Murudeshwar is another name of the Hindu God Shiva. Buy the ticket (Rs. 10-20) to see the view of Lord Shiva statue from 20 storied Gopuraat. You can explore Boat ride or Jet ski plus. There is an option for Scuba Diving at Netrani Island close by. The view is magnificent. Sunrise is special.

"Wonderful location"

  • 5.5/7

This temple is in a wonderful location surrounded by the sea from 3 sides. You get a 360-degree view of the nature from the temple. The temple itself is of high religious significance with connection to Ramayana and Ravan. There is also a big Siva statue behind the temple which is worth seeing.

The place has a great view with the huge statue of Lord Shiva and the endless Sea in the background. There is a Gopura on which you can climb upto the 18th floor via a lift to get a full view which is just majestic.
