Hotel Review of Avalon Holiday Resort
Comments: Please dont expect too much from this resort.Location is good but the staff and their room and house keeping service is really bad.They will tell you hundred reasons for everything .In case if you are not travelling by your own vehicle be prepared to pick up a cycle rickshaw from the gandhi chowk where your cabie will drop you to the other end of mall road from where these people will pick you up.The beds in the rooms stink due to moisture (may be better not to travel in monsoon)if you are ready to spend that much why not spend a bit more and go for jaypee manor.If you still choose to stay in avalon ,check the room first check the refrigirator cos i am sure it will need some defrosting .For people who live on bear forget it cos there is no bar in avalon and you need to get it all the way from mall road.
Best Experience: The location is good.

Worst Experience: whatever i said above.

Stay at the resort was overall a very nice experience. as this resort is situated on an excellent situatio though very steep location but view of the mountain is very good and soothing. Site of golden sunset from the room givs a divine feeling. Big windows and constent sun light in day time makes room soothingly warm. kitchen and other facilities are very good, beautiful plantation makes it more beautiful....

The resort is very nice to stay. It has small kitchen which really helps if you are on holidays with small kids. The place is good but the food is not upto the expectations. I suggest that they should focus more on the quality and variety of food....

I booked a 2 bedroom apartment at the Avalon Resort, directly with Avalon, since I could not find a way to get an apartment through RCI or Club Mahindra, unless one was a member. After lot of wait, finally the 'D' Day arrived, we reached Mussoorie and called Avalon from the Mall, since we were told we should not drive up to their resort on our own, as the climb was steep.
