Mussoorie food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Try walking around...up the roads, down the valleys, rather than driving around in Mussoorie. The tibetan monastry (temple) in Happy Velley is worth a dekho, and walk up the small hillock where the prayer flags are. Serene place. Take a drive however to Dhanaulti. The views along the road are worth the drive and so is the 800 rupees you spend to hire the taxi. You may get a chatty driver like I did, fend off nosy questions with true lies. Shopping? I stuck to sightseeing and eating.

Comments: A Palace converted into a hotel with a nice historical feel. Nice spacious room.
Best Experience: Breakfast outdoors was a refreshing way to start the day.

this was one of the best property i have visited . service was very good .we were a group of 5 families and thus were given almost one floor . it never was like an hotel but it proved to be home away home....

This is with reference to my stay at Kasmanda Palace Mussoorie (from 4th Nov to 6th Nov). The stay was good and comfortable but all good things have a other side also. The overall experience was above average but not outstanding, quality of food being a major let down. It was largely offset by excellent service, very good rooms and great weather !! Kasmanda palace is a heritage property of the Welcomgroup at Mussoorie. Location is almost ideal, situated right on the mall road. It was a warm & pleasant stay at Kasmanda. The location of the hotel is it's biggest advantage. It's on mall road , yet away from the maddening rush in a busy hill station like Mussorrie....
