My overall feeling is satisfactory. Hotel is situated in a narrow lane. Mostly review's given in all the websites are very horrble, even though I booked this as I didnt get accomodation in any other hotel through online booking. But my travel agent promised me that this destination is good as it is taken over by other Hotel Group from the month of april. I was liitle tense before check in, but after getting the room I got satisfied.

Best Experience: Staff is good. Food is also nice.

Worst Experience: Unavailibility of hot water. It is available only from morning 8am to 9am. I checked in at 2pm and I asked the hotel staff about the hot water, at that time also they sticked to same rule of 8am to 9am. That was too horrible. Another problem which I faced is with my room.I got a room which is below the ground level..so I didnt get any view from my window. So if you are booking through online..beware of room location and ask about this to hotel staff before making the payment.

The destination was excellent and we enjoyed a lot,the only things that seems to be done to the palace built is the average staff with average food.. i wish they up the standards..Everything was in a average level Management should take care of these things...

We had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was just right to enjoy the holiday spirit as well as to relax leisurely.

The overall Experience at the hotel was good , not great. Service was not up to the mark. Food was OK. The only good about the hotel was its near to the railway staion and bus stand, ( approx 2Km)

We planned Ooty as a weekend gateway,it was a long weekend so there was rush on roads,we started off early in the morning , around 6:30am and reached around 3:30 pm, we hired a private cab , the driver was very descent, i still have number, he was chirpy and quite amiable. We packed up few stuff for such a long trip, well it was 380 KMs to be approximate and the road was smooth, with few hunches here and there, not a big deal, we crossed Mysore around 9:30 am. on the way, we munched some chips, gulped some drinks (soft drinks ;) before your minds run somewhere ), well, there was good music and awesome weather added to the spice on the way, all gone well and we reached bandipur near 1:30 pm, saw lots of deers on the way, the path towards bandipur has lot of check posts where "khaki" color guards makes a lot of easy money , they are usually found near Karnataka/Tamil Nadu borders, well, 100 bucks worked for me but it depends how you treating them, all went well and we drove beautifully traversing thick greenery on both sides, Bandipur closes after 5 so its better you cross that area before 5, and then we smelled true Nilgiris , but so many "hair pin" bends are little troublesome, engine was giving up on certain bends but driver managed well and we reached ooty by 330 pm crossing Conoor on the way, we planned to visit it on the next day. We had already booked the hotel a week in advance , so it worked well, we received a good welcome and he showed us the rooms, we took some rest and ordered some lunch, biriyani was awesome and i loved the food there, the guys were Punjabi/Sindhi so the North flavor was prudent, the "zaika" was there and we were happy, in such a romantic place with your wife, it tickles a lot and added hospitality really makes the mood. We had some coffee and walked down for street view, that day , we just went to Boat house and enjoyed the entertainment rooms there, boarded a toy train and had some fun for 15 min there, then we went to "horror house" and it was great fun, it was thrilling and at the same time refreshing ( after a long journey), barometer reading added more fun ( it was 19 degrees during day time, was 9 degrees at the night), then we went for some shopping and strolled a few roads near our hotel stay. We came back and then had a great dinner and dozed off like hell..... Next day the list was quite long and this is how it goes : Doddabetta Peak Wax Museum Sims park Dolphin nose Tea factory Valley View point Ooty Lake Coonoor We came back totally exhausted but the coffee at the hotel room refreshed our very soul, it was really soulful and i loved it, the warmth of the hotel guys won my heart as they didn't charge anything for the say we arrived so it was a great favor , well how it happened i am not very sure but things really worked great for me, the balcony view at the night gave a artist's impression of ooty and how street lights added the that glare, i took a few snaps too and it was beautiful. The food was awesome , it was not a hotel's kitchen but they were some third party contractors but i loved them, especially "aloo" ones.. Overall it was a budget stay and decent hospitality experience

Worst Experience: I had bad experience with geysers there and many a times i complained them about it ,especially during the morning hours when we really need it, however , manager arranged warm water buckets for us which however sufficed.
