My stay could have better since this was a KSTDC property it is usually good, the rooms were good but it could have been better maintained.service was very slow.they definitely need more enthusiastic staff.

We stayed at these places for almost a week. The overall experience was worth cherishing! The service was good and people are very supportive. The places we visited were old temples which is said to be the first university to teach building sculptures and basic prototypes were built here. The same statues can be observed all over India. We had pretty good idea as we hired a professional guide there. Food and stay were good with nice view as Mayura hotel was in outskirts of town.

Best Experience: While we heard that there were 64 temples like the main temple in Belur.. we were excited and wanted to visit all those. But the guide said you can explore but not many people like to visit them as they are scattered and not in well conditions. But we were excited and visited four such temples. They were far and deserted but had very nice view and sculptures were simply superb!!

Worst Experience: While we were near to the main temples.. we visited nearby hotel which had good name. But it was not hotel anymore!! and was ill-maintained. Felt bad after visiting that as there were no more good hotels around and we blamed ourselves for not having breakfast in lodge itself. We had to put ourselves to breakfast in nearby small local hotel.

The place was awesome. The stay was ok. We found the service good.We had to wait for a while before check in but otherwise it was a smooth stay

Best Experience: Service was good

Belur and halebid are beautiful places has some wonderful intricate architecture. Its a must visit. We liked our stay here the rooms were pretty nice but the service could have been better and could use some improvement. The staff could be more proactive. But overall i found this to be ok.
