Mysore food, sight-seeing and shopping options
The Mysore Zoo is a must visit and one of the best Zoo in India, having Giraffe's, Zebra's, Gorilla and many more such exotic creatures from around the world.
Mysore Palace is magnificent with amazing carvings and good architecture. Photography is prohibited from inside however pictures of the outside palace view can be taken.
One cannot miss out the Brindavan Gardens and the musical fountain. The light and music show begins at 7 p.m.
Mysore is famous for its Sandalwood items and silk sarees. The New Karnataka Cottage Emporium ( at Mysore Hotel Complex) has a lot of variety and has fixed prices and good offers.
Veg Kourt on Shri Harsha road offers good Punjabi Food (Jain preparations were also available).
Hotel Mysore Dasaprakash at Gandhi Square serves authentic South Indian Food.

Best Experience: None
Worst Experience: We had only worst experience in Lalith Palace of Mysore. Worst experience is about service people. They don't know how to treat customers. Guard person is uttermost worst person I have not seen till now in my life. He hardly cares for customers. Service people take care of only foreigners and for Indians they are very least bothered. Is this the way to treat? We felt very bad, bcoz none of the service people bothered about wats happening.

Vast open lands surrounds the structure. Our car zigzaged its way through the busy outskirts of Mysore, and suddenly the distant white palace structure came to our view. For a good half minute, I kept thinking that it must be a part of the property of the Majesties of Mysore. The Hotel is the very best as far as structure is considered. Rooms are all elegant and spacious. Restaurant is good but no choice of food. Swimming pool is just ok. Service has to be improved. If it is privately managed, then it will excel....
