NC Garden & Beach Resorts Reviews
The resort is actual abreast to the beach, the buyer is very much advantageous to get such a acreage. I absorb 2 canicule in the resort and it was added than my expectation. The apartment are alluringly maintained and the alignment was awesome. At the beginning to end it was a nice acquaintance and annihilation to compliment about. The alignment was superb and lots of breadth to play. And as well I noticed a accessible date in that resort and we will plan to conduct our ancestors get-together there. I ambition all the success for the administration and as well acknowledge you very much for giving us such an experience. I had a great acquaintance in that resort and absolutely be aback with my ancestors in my next vacation.
Very Good experience this hotel especially like childrens gardens, swimming pool, open area etc... look like an international treat
We went to NC Garden Resort on 25th Dec\'09. This trip wasnt planned and we did not know anything about Calicut and this was the only place were the bookings were available specially when we wanted to expore the beaches. We started at in the morning and travelling wasnt a great experience. We reached Calicut and spent almost 3 hours to locate this place (near Feroke Road).. However, the best part that was the people were very very helpful and at 10:30 in the night they were ready to come along and show us the way. Though the lauguage was a big concern for us but people could communicate in English and some in Hindi as well. The resort manager Manoj helped us a lot as the way was too far. We reached there and were given a cottage with sea view. Though the place is not too great (in the sense maintained garden or activity), however the warmth that we were welcomed with was too refreshing. We were given an old cottage with A/C, though we chose a standard non A/C one but were shifted to a new renovated cottage the next day. The weather was warm and quite humid so without A/C wouldnt have helped. The new cottage was nice and with nice view. There was a private area where we had place to sit outside. The beach is clean and very nice. There are rocks placed in front of the beach as a precaution. The water is clean (not very clean) and you can get in some depth as the waves are not too high. Unlike Goa the sea bed is not firm and you need to be careful before get into too deap unless you know swimming. About the food- you really dont have much choice there for food and no nearby places where we could go and eat. You dont have an option to cook as the cottage is very very basic. The food is not that great. Also the resort did not have any activity area as such. The only part we could do is to enjoy the beach side. We took an option of boating to a near by island lake and sea which costed us 600/- (without bargain) and that was a nice experience. Also the near by places shown in the website is not too near :).. you need to plan well to visit those places. The bird santuary season is Oct and Nov so its best if you go there. This was a small trip so we could go to other beaches and waterfall as mentioned on the site. We are told that the places are getting renovated where more cottages are planned, with an acitivity area, pool and bar. (Booze - if you drink, please carry your own, not much options available there).
We (wife, 2 sons of 10 & 6yrs and myself) went to NC Garden resort during the 3rd week of Dec\'07 and spent a jolly good 4D over there. We opted for the individual cottage as against sea facing rooms. The beach is beautiful and near private. The resort itself is maintained very well (we even witnessed a photo shoot for a TV serial). This resort is developed in a coconut grove next to the beach and has been maintained well. It has kids play area too. Note that there is nothing much to see in and around Calicut. This is a great place if you don\'t want to do anything, but enjoy the beach and relax. The only problem is getting into the resort for the first time from the Calicut city. We drove from Bangalore and asked atleast 20 people and several calls to the resort. Not many would know English and it is very difficult to pronounce the exact name of the village enroute in the accent that would help.
