Naggar was the capital of Kullu in the 16th century. It is famous for the Castle which was built by Rajah Sidh Singh over 500 years ago. Gauri Shankar Temple of Shiva lies in the vicinity of the castle.
Chatar Bhuj Temple, Tripura Sundri Devi Temple and the Murlidhar Temple are popular edifices of the village. Jagti Patt Temple is famous for its triangular slab of stone, which is strewn with rose petals and rupee notes.
Visiting the Nicholas Roerich Gallery in Naggar allows tourists to view the beds, library, settees, writing tables, toiletries, and samovars of the Roerich family. In the village is also located the Uruswati Museum.
Surrounded by glaciers on three sides, the upper Beas region of Gardhak Chuli offers beautiful views of the valley. Trekking from the village allows tourists to visit Chandrakhani Pass.
